Me and my buddy are continuing to talk about the historic comeback win and while doing so we came across the question, Who is to start if Perk is unable to go?

You think they will start Posey and continue to play "Small" or go with Brown or Powe to add some bulk in the post?

I think he'll  start big with PJ, and see how the Laker's defense reacts, and play it from there.

It should be Powe, but it won't be ... Doc will start PJ for size and "veteran" experience ... no question.

  • The good ole days.
Obvious choice is PJ.

Possibly could be Posey, but I don't like that small ball lineup out of the gate.

I liked an earlier idea of trying out Baby, mainly because it allows Doc to keep his bench rotations pretty similar to what it's been already.

Scal??

I'd like to see it be Powe but agree Doc will go with PJ. BBD would be an interesting choice.

They will probably activate Scal....... Start Powe....... PJ is the first big off the bench and Baby will get some time.

I think it has to be Powe.  I actually think doc will make the right move, and do it, too.  I don't think he wants to play PJ all those minutes (he'll get enough), and I think he'd rather keep Posey coming off the bench.  Scal really would be the most entertaining choice though...

I remember one of Edgar`s posts last year during the off-season about who should play Center for the Celtics. I couldn`t find it with the search tool, but it was something along the lines of

" A starting lineup of Rondo, Allen, Pierce, Garnett and

could win a championship"

sums it up
In the summer of 2017, I predicted this team would not win a championship for the next 10 years.

3 down, 7 to go.

I'll play big baby, he gets up for big games, suprised they haven't used him yet, I can see him giving the laker fours alot of fits especially lamar, radmonovic and walton with his bulk and aggressiveness. if he picks up fouls u still have pj and powe on the bench.

i'd like to see posey get the start but im thinking it will be PJ.  if you start small, your bench is heavy with bigs and light on wings.

id actually start powe and put him on odom where kg has usually started ut on him. have kg guard gasol to start. powes a guy that is obviously not afraid of las big and his lack of height really hasnt been a problem for him in this series. id still like to have pj come off the bench with his energy. hell get plenty of minutes anyway. they may still have the length on us but their speed advantage out the gate will be completely neutralized.
Never underestimate the predictability of stupidity...

I agree. Plus Powe can stay with Odom on the defensive end. BBD should get some minutes against Turiaf.
