On Sports Tonight, Gary Tanguay opened with this statement:

Before last night's game, one Laker player proclaimed:

"They can't beat us on Pluto, on Mars.

They can't beat us here either.

If we played seven games at the Garden, we'd win them all."

I assume it was Kobe but I was wondering if anyone has heard something about this.

You might have mentioned that he said it in the "huddle".  That is a little different context than saying it to the press.

I was absolutely nauseated by it and his post-game excuses, with his arrogant attitude like the Celtics won because of some freak accident and his shot "just not going down" ... but no big deal, like he was talking about what he ate for breakfast. It's a shame that networks can't somehow issue vomit bags by fax.

Did you see Sportscenter today Bahku?  Now it's the rims at the Garden that are at fault for the poor shooting.  Sasha said the hoops stick out longer than others in other arenas.  I really feel bad for them.  No wonder the Celts had the best field goal percentage defense.  What a bunch of babies.  Hopefully you guys lose in 5 and won't have to come back, then we won't need to hear this crap.

What a [jerk]. He was so ****ed about the loss in the post-game press conference, that he was just dying to say something negative about the C's. So he thought the Lakers would storm right through Boston? I think it is more likely for us to win in LA than lose at home.
