On Sports Tonight, Gary Tanguay opened with this statement:

Before last night's game, one Laker player proclaimed:

"They can't beat us on Pluto, on Mars.

They can't beat us here either.

If we played seven games at the Garden, we'd win them all."

I assume it was Kobe but I was wondering if anyone has heard something about this.

You might have mentioned that he said it in the "huddle".  That is a little different context than saying it to the press.

Yup ... that was Kobe. I was absolutely nauseated by it and his post-game excuses, with his arrogant attitude like the Celtics won because of some freak accident and his shot "just not going down" ... but no big deal, like he was talking about what he ate for breakfast. It's a shame that networks can't somehow issue vomit bags by fax.

Doc said the Cs were the better team in his pregame...
You won the game, and you are crying about what KB said to pump his guys up?

Well, Doc was right, and Kobe is just a cocky MJ wannabe.  As proved by Game 1.   :)

No one is crying, just pointing out that Kobe is an idiot, nothing to it... but, you know, no need to point out the obvious right?

Loyalty ain't what it used to be, eh Bahku?  Tough crowd, my friend.

Hadn't heard the "peed in your cornflakes" expression prior though.  Seems like a rather unpleasant experience.  Learn something new every day, I guess.

Did you see Sportscenter today Bahku?  Now it's the rims at the Garden that are at fault for the poor shooting.  Sasha said the hoops stick out longer than others in other arenas.  I really feel bad for them.  No wonder the Celts had the best field goal percentage defense.  What a bunch of babies.  Hopefully you guys lose in 5 and won't have to come back, then we won't need to hear this crap.
"Take this down," said O'Neal. "My name is Shaquille O'Neal and Paul Pierce is the (expletive) truth. Quote me on that and don't take nothing out. I knew he could play, but I didn't know he could play like this. Paul Pierce is the truth."

What a [jerk]. He was so ****ed about the loss in the post-game press conference, that he was just dying to say something negative about the C's. So he thought the Lakers would storm right through Boston? I think it is more likely for us to win in LA than lose at home.
