Not to put too much of a damper on this, but I have to disagree about how loud the crowd was. Other than a few spots (after Pierce came back, and then during the 4th quarter), it was not nearly as loud and consistent as it was for most of the playoffs.
As I said in another thread, it was a very strange phenomenon. There was an incredible amount of energy in the building, but it was very nervous energy. Chants weren't catching on like they usually do, and in general, the level of noise was significantly lower...but you could still feel the energy.
Basically, it was like the entire building was coiled up, ready to explode, but until Pierce came back, and then they started to assert themselves in the 4th quarter, no one seemed to really let go.
Very strange atmosphere.
