ESPN rumors reports that Cassell is talking to the Denver Nuggets. Im pretty disgusted that he would do this at the present time. If anyone else has further info, feel free to post.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

Don't let the door hit you in the you know what on the way out Sammy boy.
"Take this down," said O'Neal. "My name is Shaquille O'Neal and Paul Pierce is the (expletive) truth. Quote me on that and don't take nothing out. I knew he could play, but I didn't know he could play like this. Paul Pierce is the truth."

am not condoning SAM's intentions after this season...

but let's take this with a grain of salt....he could still contribute great minutes during this final series....I really don't care even if he decides to join the fakers after this season.... as long as he gives us the veteran presence and composure that we'll need during crunch time and whenever RONDO falters....

That's not a big deal.  By next year, Rondo will be on his third year, with playoff experience under his belt.  I'm sure we can find another veteran PG who is looking for a chance to contend for a championship.

If he is doing this while the finals is going on whatever credibility he had as a vet is gone.
I agree with Tommy that it was a bad pick up anyways.  He did help at times, can still help.  There are more than enough (better) vet pg out there to back up Rondo who is on his way to all star games.
seeya sam even if it is a rumor he isn't a team player

I'm thinking they see if Pruitt can win the job and keep either Eddie House or maybe even Sam around as insurance in case he can't.

So???   Does it make a difference?  Unless he comes back as a coach he has really no future here anyway, and being this close to another ring I doubt if he would jeopardize that chance....

I'm pretty sure that some people thought he was more likely to sign with Denver than us because he wanted to coach under Karl.

This is what some people are all knotted up about?:

Quote
Boston guard Sam Cassell told the Rocky Mountain News before Game 1 of the Finals he "definitely will talk'' to the Nuggets when he becomes a free agent on July 1.

Cassell, 38, reiterated what he said in October. He wants to play one more season before getting into coaching, and he believes Nuggets coach George Karl can help.

"George is a hell of a coach, and he's also a good friend,'' said Cassell, who played for Karl in Milwaukee.

After Cassell's contract was bought out by the Clippers in February, he considered signing with the Nuggets but chose Boston because of its better record.

"I had some heart-to-heart talks with George, and he understood,'' Cassell said. "Look where I am now.''

So...  a free agent will talk to another team that needs a point guard in the off-season.  Wow.

Link.

Is Denver trying to be the worst defensive team ever in the history of the NBA?  Can you imagine a back-court of AI and Sam with Carmello?  I know that Camby is a decent defender and he may end up with 200 blocks as the other team's guards will be dribbling into the paint on every position.

Complete non-story in my book.Sam made a comment he will talk to a team when he is legally able to talk to a team. Big deal.

Did it ever occur to anyone that Doc and the management team have already told Sam they don't want him around after this playoff series ends?

Because I'll tell you what, after that possession in the fourth where the shot clock was running down and KG had it in the low post and dished out to Sam on the three point line and then he passed it to Posey in the corner as the buzzer went off, Ray Allen didn't look to happy with Sam.It appeared to me and my sons that Ray was chewing Sam's butt off for not putting up the shot.

I imagined it went something like:

"What the hell is wrong with you?! When we have 20 seconds left on the clock you're hoisting up three pointers before even trying to run the offense and then when we need you to shoot the ball because the clock is running down you pass the ball!?! Get your freaking head in the game, dude!"
