i'm delighted with that.

i wanted to be behind them by single digits and launch a second half fight-back. but now we just need to maintain this. we can do it!

Yeah man, Rip is baad. As soon as it gets down to the paint he slaps and grabs at your arms to get you off balance and runs off or flails Manu style to try and get a call. I feel Ray on that one, to get slapped all around on one end and get called for the same garbage on the other end is pretty frustrating.  :-X

KG's got to look more aggressive than his buddy Sheed or we lose this game. [dang it].

Sweet finish!  Sweet Perk!

File under coulda-shoulda-woulda:  If the Celts took care of the ball they'd be running away with this.

Turnovers and 3's keeping the Pistons in it.

Love to see a fast start in the 3rd.  Take care of the [dang] ball and we'll have a W
Yup

Perk kept them in that first half definitely. Good thing is they played probably 12 minutes of horrible basketball, and are leading at the half.

Also I have truly come to detest Richard Hamilton, he is a hacker and a holder on D, and a flopper on offense. I am tired of the things he does being called smart, veteran plays, quite simply it is cheating and something that needs to be removed from the game. He has a serious game, and doesn't need to embarrass himself time and time again with his garbage plays.

Yeah, I have to tell you that I'd run Baby out there and tell him, "I want to see Rip Hamilton on the ground."
Coined the CelticsBlog term, "Euromistake."

another terrible call. when you see ray yelling at the refs, then you know it's bad.

Hamilton's hands and arms are constantly in motion, slapping and pulling at whichever Celtic is nearby.  I am quite positive it's annoying and distracting.  He reminds me of Laimbeer in that regard.

Rebounding Boston 28, Detriot 11.

Detriot benefitted from Celtics TO's and not guarding the 3 point line well.

14 total minutes of play from the bench in the first half.  Doc's leaning heavily on the starters, but he kinda has to here.
Yup

We're playing really well except for the turnovers ... great energy, attacking the basket, intense defense creating the fast-break, Pierce doing his thang, KG knockin' 'em down, Perk being an absolute monster, Rondo gettin' after it, and Ray-Ray hittin' threes ... I LOVE it! If we cut down the turnovers that will make the difference we need, and just step the pressure and attack up even more. Go Celtics!

the bench needs to pick it up. i don't want to see cassell in there again, but if he is then he needs to use this experience he keeps going on about and start doing what's expected of him.
