I blame Doc.

Supported him all year until the second quarter.

Pistons in 6

  • Doc could learn a thing or two from Norman Dale
There are some positives to take from this game.  I'm not panicking.

no way -(refering to Mogreen's post, not Roy's)-- I have questioned this for quite awhile -- and have the posts to prove it.  But to be fair, most if not all of my questions have been directed at the players.

I am surpised by the rotations tonight and think that the bench killed this team in the 2nd quarter....and for this I blame Doc.

However, I don't think the players have it in them to win the required road games and therefore Detroit holds serve and wins in 6.  The team has done nothing in the playoffs to prove this sickening thought wrong.

Allen was a great story tonight.

Mark my words, the Celtics will win a game in Detroit. The national media is vastly underestimating this team, are you going to do it too?

i agree-- Pistons in 6 is the most likely outcome. Still, with Ray's resurgence, we could manage to steal one or even both of the next two.

Love the enthusiasm, but there's been not a single shred of evidence to support it.  I hope you are right....and I get ripped for being negative.  Unfortunately I think I am being realistic.

No reason to panic.  On the other hand, no reason to suspect the Celtics will play better on the road than they have in the past.  Remember Ray Allen was fine for much of the Atlanta series and they still couldn't win on the road then.

There are some positives to take from this game.  I'm not panicking.

I'm completely with you here... this is the first loss this playoffs that hasn't bothered me much.

to the contrary - point of evidence #1 - ray allen still has a pulse.

if GPA can all get in the action like they did tonight, and the celtics learn from the mistake of making too many boneheaded fouls, then they can "easily" take one on the road. i dont think there's much reason to panic, these teams play each other well. the celtics have proven that they can win when they have to, and now they have to win one on the road. i think they will.

why is it that boston fans always have to have someone to blame for a loss and strap to the whipping post? this isn't doc's fault, the pistons played a good game, a better game than us.

however. ray allen is back, and we will win game 3. book it.

Strange that it doesn't bother me that much, Ray's back, seems the only reason for that.
Haven't seen game 1 (not aired over here ffs), but this game the Pistons impressed me. Ball moves fast on offense, they seemed really cool, and it looks like they can even step it up if need to. Then again, they didn't in game 1 i guess.
Rondo is a bit young for this type of game, he made a few bad decisions on the offense. Didn't take the easy pass but a difficult one just 2 secs later, not a lot of fast breaks and quick scores, your not getting away from the chauncey-gang that way. And some guys are NOT taking the open look shots, what's up with that? Nerves? Still, it's game on, time to repeat the "texas massacre" and get some roadkill.
Still 7 to go....

There was no evidence for people to say that the Pistons would win tonight but the National media all somehow knew it was going to happen.

I'd say the fact that we won the only game we've played in Detroit this year is enough evidence to say we can at least take one. We had the best road record in the regular season, that wasn't a fluke. Our postseason road record is the fluke, they will turn it around. Seriously have a little faith in your team.

I think they'll get one in Detroit. Boston played like crap tonight and still had a chance in the last few minutes to do something. Fact is they'll have to win one now and I feel they'll come out fighting even harder than before because of it.
We'll find out what this team is truly made of in the next two games.
Peace through Tyranny
