I am not sure if this has been discussed on here, I didn't see it.  But how about the respect paid to Red last night by the Truth in the post-game?  The "I wish he could have been there" comment really hit the spot.  Since day 1 of the KG-era the biggest disappointment of it all is that it was a year too late for Red.  I think PP's recognition of this was all class.  Maybe Red watching over the Green is what we need to break whatever "curse" one may believe we've had since the glory days.

Anyways, I just wanted to put into writing the strong appreciation I had for Pierce's words last night.  Anybody else get the same feeling?

Late in the fourth quarter, the DiamondVision screen showed a shot of the banner with the retired numbers; closeup on #2.

I did appreciate Paul's words, although credit goes to Michelle Tafoya for giving him that softball of a question.

To be honest, it looked more like Don Nelson's foul line jumper in Game 7 against the Fakers in '69. Of course, I'm sure Red had something to do with that one as well.

Yeah, not just Pierce's foul shot, but also that three pointer, I think in the first quarter.

Of course, Ben Wallace got a ridiculous role on a free throw, as well.  Red must have been keeping things interesting.  Didn't want us getting complacent. ;)

And not just Red, but DJ and Reggie as well.

I'm sure we have all lost family/friends before all of this came together that we would love to be sharing it with. I'd like to remember them as well.

They cam-ed to the retired number 2 right after PP's foul shot hit of the back rim, bounced straight up, and fell through....the timing was completely intentional and a fantastic idea

Red would have been so proud to watch
Paul explode in the faces of the Cavs.
I know I was.
