Can someone please attempt to explain why we didn't press once until there were 28 seconds left in the game?

Doc Happens.

Well, they'll cross that bridge if it comes to it. Until then I find no sense in worrying about it. Hopfully the refs call the game fairly in game 7 against the Cavs first.

Such a winnable tonight.

Great night for KG but he missed some chippies when we needed them most.  Big Baby came back to earth in a big way.  Ray - nada.  Rondo at least showed something playing strong for a stretch in the 4th after doing zippo.  Nice night for Eddie...

Argggggghhh

Game 7 = Coin toss.  Hope it lands our way.
Yup

I cannot get over the call against Pierce. Horrible, horrible, horrible.

Just watched it again on frame-by-frame on my TiVo - LeBron's feet not set (that was obvious live though), Pierce's right arm is on LeBron but does not extend at all - body-to-body contact and LeBron and Pierce throw themselves apart.  If Pierce's arm had come out I could understand the call, but this was ridiculous.

Ray Allen's layup attempt - as the announcers rightly called, off the board and by the rules a goaltend - not called.

Smith's inbounds catch in frame-by-frame - Smith catches the ball, lands with both feet (2 steps, or 1 if you consider it a jump stop, which it wasn't), then immediately pivots his right foot (3 steps, or 2) and then shifts his left foot forward, finally dribbling after planting his left (4 steps, or 3).

All in the last minute of a key game.

This is atrocious - I think we knew in the first quarter we'd have to beat this team by 15 to beat them by 2, and we just didn't get it done...but still, horrible to watch in slow motion.

For whatever reason, we've got to go 7 again - we all worried this team didn't have enough playoff experience, well this is quite a means of getting it done, huh?  Here we come!

This is my first post but I have been a reader for quite some time.  I didn't get a chance to watch tonight's game and I noticed a few posts talking about how poorly Ray Allen played.  Again, not having watched the game I noticed that he had the highest +/- of any Celtic tonight at +14.  He didn't shoot well at all, but he had 6 rebounds and 2 assists with no turnovers.  The person with the second highest +/- was Kendrick Perkins at +11.  The only other Celtic with a + was Eddie House with a +7.  I know this is only one stat, but for those of you who watched the game, was this simply coincidence or do you think these players, in particular Ray Allen was contributing in ways that don't show up on the stat sheet?

Ray had no turnovers because he never touched the ball.  Ray needs to score points for this team to win.

But he is suppose to be a scorer.

i am so p---ed right now...as poorly as we played, and as much as we let them stay in the freakin' game, we still had a chance...

1) the call on pierce as a charge, un FREAKING believable...not even close!...Lebron was moving, had no position, AND he reached!
2) the goal tend on allen, HELLO?!?!?!?!
3) the non-travel on Joe Smith Edited.  Profanity and masked profanity are against forum rules and may result in discipline.!

pure bullEdited.  Profanity and masked profanity are against forum rules and may result in discipline. >:(

*conspiracy theory*

This is all part of a bigger plan. Stern wants the Celtics to go 7 games every series, so that when they win the championship, noone will ever call them chokers again.

You have to see the bigger picture. The Celtics will be a contender as long as KG is able to contain his game, which is approximately at least three more years. Stern is not interested in who gets which trophy, he`s interested in images and storylines, cause that`s what he is selling. And he wants the Celtics to play the feared and respected ruler in this story.

No need to worry...

*conspiracy theory end*

 ::)
In the summer of 2017, I predicted this team would not win a championship for the next 10 years.

3 down, 7 to go.

spurs in 6=spurs in 7
lakers in 6=lakers in 7
celtics in 6=celtics in 7

come on refs dont screw us up

i know rays not scoring but i felt our offense is more steady when hes there

I know it's unbelievable but Gary Tanguay just made sense. he said you get a different feeling coming out of this game than the 1st 2 in Cleveland.

The c's played well enough to win. a few shots fall or somewhat fairly called game and the C's could have won. C's win easily on Sunday.

Can someone please attempt to explain why we didn't press once until there were 28 seconds left in the game?

or why you would have a 5'10" pg pressuring the inbound pass with 16 seconds left?
