He traveled and he's laughing because he did not get caught.

Your flaws are magnified in the playoffs.

Ray Allen is old.

Paul Pierce is a bad decision maker.

KG is a choke aritst.

I'm not saying I agree with all of these, but these have been the knocks on them, and they're not doing anything to prove their critics wrong.

Two flaws I know are true,

The NBA officials are the worst, most corrupt group of officials in any sport, any league, anywhere.

Doc is a bad playoff coach.

I agree with 90 percent of your post.  KG has NOT choked.  Ray Allen is old and Pierce is a horrible decision maker.  A truly winnable game and they will not even score 70 points.  How is this kind of performance defensible?  How is this kind of performance even possible for a team that won 66 games?

ARGHHH. Joe Smith just took more steps than all of the C's players who got traveling calls tonight combined.  :-X

  • Be the posts you wish to see in the world.
Aaaaaand an actual, uncalled travel, with Joe Smith actually laughing at the fact that he got away with it.

I hate conspiracy theorists, but the idea of refs being influenced by home crowds agrees with me...seems like more and more evidence is piling up...

  • Doc could learn a thing or two from Norman Dale
0-6.

Although the officials definitely get an assist in this one.

this is the most blatant fixed game i've ever seen. the refs literally killed us. if we don't get calls at home in game 7, we'll lose. and the city of boston should spit on nba refs every game next year.

now it's over. these offensive rebounds are absolutely killing us. how many second chances are they going to get?

With all of these offensive rebounds for Cleveland, absolutely no reason for Leon Powe to be playing in this game is there?  Like Roy Hobbs, I despise Doc Rivers.  Absolutely DESPISE him.

You realise that Powe is our worst defensive rebounder? You realise that he wouldn't have a prayer against Big Z? Baby can use his body to push him out of the paint, Perk and KG match up more height-wise. Powe gets hosed on the defensive boards because he rebounds them the exact same way that he tries to get offensive boards (which is great on the offensive end, but terrible on the defensive end).
So stop using the defensive boards reason for Powe, the instant-offense and hustle is a great reason, and I think he needed some time today.

Out of interest, why do you post all these depressing posts? You're really just asking for a reaction.

Big Baby was awful tonight.  Leon Powe brings energy to the game.

I never said he was any good tonight. I just said it's ludicrous to try and say that Powe should be in for his defensive presence/rebounding.

Roy:
Fair enough, I maintain that BBD is better at boxing out and making sure his direct man doesn't get the ball. But as I said earlier, I can't watch this game so I'm essentially in the dark.

And on another note, is anybody else finding it impossible to post? :P

The last possession basically told the story of the entire game. NO SENSE OF URGENCY. Ray passing on the shot with 7 seconds left. SHOOT THE [dang] BALL!!!

Lebron gets more free throws then the C';s combined. David Stern influenced refs.

You realise that Powe is our worst defensive rebounder?

How do you figure?  Powe's defensive rebound rate was roughly 25% better than BBD's during the regular season.

Team defensive rebounding is lower with Powe in. It's 69.2%. Glen's is 71.2%. Garnett is 73.1%. Perk is 72.9%.

Someone asked earlier and there was no answer -- when did we trade Ray Allen?  Also, when did Paul Pierce decide he was going to play again like old, bad Paul Pierce.  69 points = a total embarrassment.  Bad refs or not, the C's offense was awful tonight.  Other than Garnett and House, no one played.  Father time has quickly caught up to Ray.  I feel badly for him he is playing so poorly.  Taken out of his game by Wally.  Unreal.

These NBA refs are outrageous.  Its not just in this series, but all of them.  I can see NCAA guys being this influenced by home crowds, but these are supposed to be the best refs in the world.

I think I speak for everyone when I say F*** David Stern! The fix was in tonight. Definitely this game should have been ours.
