I did a little research myself.  A lot has been made about the disparity between the Celts league best 30-11 regular season record and their perfectly imperfect 0-5 playoff road record.

I ran down their season and came up with a road record that was 11-9 vs playoff teams and 29-2 vs non-playoff teams.  One of those non-playoff losses was vs. Golden State who you could certainly argue was more of a playoff team than Atlanta, but lets not dig too deep into that.

I guess I was trying to find some silver lining by looking deeper into the disparity, but really there is no real explanation.  The Celtics went into some serious beehives on the road this season and locked down some of the league's best.

A plus .500 road record against the cream of the crop is pretty darn good.

I guess the only rational explanation at this point is that the playoffs are just an entirely different animal, and the Celtics do indeed have the proverbial 500 pound gorilla on their back at this point.

maybe the coach doenst know what he's doing. we're getting beat on the road because our offensive scheme sucks. odd rotations, no consistency with minutes. thats a coach's fault there.

your going to crash and burn if you hang on to Doc Rivers as your coach.

I think it is a mistake for all of us as Celtics fans to include the last series with this one. The Celtics played a bad first round series and didn't win on the road. In the second round the C's have played very well in 2 home games, and good in 1 road game, expecting the Celtics to win on the road in Cleveland early, may have been a mistake. This wouldn't be such a big deal if the first round hadn't been what it was, I choose to isolate this series and look at it as it's own, a win tomorrow, and I expect the C's to end it in Cleveland.
