Dear Celtic Fan,

Please do not go to the game and start chanting "OVER-RATED" to Lebron James.  The kid is not "OVER-RATED" and I'm sure you don't believe that is the case.  Let not make the stupid mistake those fans down in Washington made.  Right now Lebron is sleeping and what my dad always told me is that you let a sleeping dog sleep.  We don't want to awaken the "beast" that is Lebron James because face it we aren't the ones out there trying to guard him.

I was ****ed at the game when I heard that chant, thank god people in my section were smart enough not to go that route.  Now or coarse you can do what you want to do as a paying customer just as long as it lawful to do so. But comeon I thought we as a fan base was smarter then that.  So if this series goes to a game 5.  Please let just kill Lebron James with kindness.

We should applaud him when he gets introduced, kinda like Mariano Rivera. Maybe give him a "Le-Bron Ja-mes *clap, clap...clap, clap clap*" chant.

There you go BudweiserCeltic you get the point.  There are some player you just don't do that too.  I feel Lebron is one of them because he is so talented and he can put his team on his back and beat you. I give and "over-rated" chant to those celtics fans who did that last night. Shame,Shame,Shame...

The over-rated chant is ridiculous and believe me, Lebron heard it.  He has stored it away until game 5 in Boston.

The Cavs have to be very excited to be coming home.  They haven't had a home game in what will be almost 2 weeks.  If you are a Boston fan, you have to think your team needs to win game 3.  The Cavs have been down 0-2 the past 2 years to the Pistons and have come back in each series.  In 2006, they got blown out in Detroit the first 2 games, then won games 3-5 and were a rebound away from winning game 6.  Last year, they won games 3-6 and took the series.

As a Cavs fan this team is incredibly frustrating to watch.  Boston played great last night, I give them credit there, but the Cavs were flat.  They don't play their best ball until their backs are against the wall.  The Cavs will pick up a lot of momentum if they win tomorrow night.  The Celtics absolutely have to win one of these next 2 games or they could be in trouble.

Game 5 is Lebron's game.  Check his stats.

Okay, if no one else will say it, I'm not afraid of LeBron. He might be a one sleeping dog. But the Celtics have three wide awake Pitt Bulls waiting for a fight.

I like the numbers. And maybe that chant got in his head. Something sure did because he was a no show for two straight games.

How about this... Don't go to a game if you do not want to hear people scream, chant, or whatever!
My pet peeve is when I go to a game and see people
covering their ears, making faces because people are loud or whatever the case maybe. I love going to games. I love when people demonstrate their passion for the game and have a good time. Lighten up and enjoy the game!
If you want a quiet and attentive crowd then stay home and invite some mutes!

I just made a post about this in "Chants for Cavs"  Why would you go to a game - in the playoffs - to just sit there and be p'd off at people screaming and standing?  I believe they call these people "fair weather fans"

I totally agree with the OP, let the big dog sleep, don't taunt him, for goodness sakes!
Any true knowledgable basketball fan should know this and practice fan chant restraint, in this case.

He has been defended superbly, and is showing his natural humanity by taking what he is being given defensively with a favorable outcome, to this point in the games played.

I disagree, in fact it is the Cavs who MUST win both these next two games to reenter the series with then having the possibility of a game 7, eventually then in our Garden. The pressure is totally upon the Cavs, their backs are against the wall in my view, and as you say and I hope its true, that they don't play well when in this position!

Best of luck, and may the better defensive team win ;)

First off I don't go to the games and cover my ears when people chant.  Most nights I'm the one leading the chants.  I was chanting "Bib-by, Bib-by" and "Rondo better" in the Hawks series.  But you can clown a guy like Mike Bibby. But calling a dude like LeBron James, who buy the way is 1 of only the three players in the history of the game to average 30, 7 and 7. The other two you may have heard of them Oscar Robertson and Michael Jordan.

So yes I thought it was stupid to chant "Over-Rated" to LeBron James when most of us would take him over Paul Pierce in a heart beat.  Sorry but I would.

Tracy Rose you miss the point.  I'm all for chanting at games but you have to pick your spots and know what to say.  Last night calling Lebron games Over-rated wasn't smart. Who would you rather have LeBron James or Paul Pierce?

Actually, the only time the Cavs play well is when their back are against the wall (if I said they didn't then I misspoke).  That is why they have been down 0-2 to the Pistons 2 years running.  They don't play well until they get a little home cooking.  The Cavs recipe for success the past 2 years has been to build momentum in games 3 and 4 and take game 5 on the road.  This core of this team is very young and they play on emotion.

But as TracyRose said, just have faith Celtic fans, don't be scared of Lebron, just be confident in your team...they are playing great ball right now.

Here's to Cavs win on Saturday (very popular opinion here)

Thanks mmac!

First off, I love my team.
Yes Lebron is super talented.
I actually enjoy watching him play and seeing his skills.
I also enjoy watching my team stop him in his tracks.
I have faith.

Whoever can chant whatever for all I care!
I am a believer that we will win the conference finals!
I just know what the Celtics are capable of and I know they want it bad...especially Pierce. He deserves a championship. He's been patient his entire career as a Celtic...we all know he deserves this.
Have faith in my C's man!!!

Doc was just on WEEI and said it was one of the few times in his coaching career he wanted to grab the mike and ask the crowd to please refrain from throwing things on the floor, because in his opinion, the chant was just as dangerous as that would be.  I cringed a bit at home hearing that chant on TV, remembering LeBron and his terrific performance against Detroit last year in games 3-6, especially Game 5, after trailing 2-0 in that series.  I fully expect him to be a beast at home in Games 3 and 4, with or without the fans' chant, but I think it was a bit cocky, considering the Cavs history the last 2 years of being down 2-0 and coming back, and especially our own recent experience of being up 2-0 in a series, and being taken to a 7th game by the lowly Hawks.  Let's hope even if LeBron goes for his usual 30+ in Cleveland, we can escape with one win.  As much as I am confident in the C's at the Garden, I don't relish facing an invigorated King James in the mini Game 7 that a Game 5 becomes when the series is tied 2-2
