Daydreaming at work and was wondering:

Who would you pick up as a free agent in 2010/11 when Ray Allen is off the books?

Dwyane Wade
Or
Tracy McGrady

Both are special players albeit pretty brittle.

Dwayne Wade, but ít would be practically impossible to pick anyone above midlevel just because Ray Allen is off the books.  With that said, I'm not a fan of his though I like to see him play.

T-Mac will be too beaten up by then.  I guess D Wade might be too.

But I would still go with D Wade.  He s younger and better IMO and hes got that ring.

Dwade.  Unfortunately, though, even when Ray expires we're still not going to have any cap room.

Neither.

T-Mac's back will probably be about gone by then.

I need to see Wade regain what he was before I would want to see the Celtics spend the Max on him.

Would this be drive to the rim, flop and then receive phantom foul call?

 :)

Gimme Wade, we all know far too well (Larry Bird) that a bad back is not something to take lightly.

rondo is gonna be getting most of the money ray allen was making when it comes off the books, and i have a hunch we'll see powe getting scalabrine's money haha.

it wouldn't surprise me to see danny want to move a couple of the big 3 for money, youth and picks in a few years here, judging from the things he has said in the past about how he would have traded larry bird at the end of his career and everything (danny is all business, and he'll do whatever it takes to put a winning team on the floor, including starting the youth process over again).

then again, wyc has said he wants to see them all retire as celtics, so who knows...

if this was 2k8 i'd go for dwade.

as it's not 2k8, it'll be neither because 1 - we wont be able to get them and 2 - they'll probably both be too beaten up by then.

rondo will in no way, shape or form be getting 16 mill per in 2 years. he's not chris paul.

It's got to be D-Wade, he goes to the hole and gets to the line, which makes him consistent. T-Mac takes far too many jumpers. T-Mac might not be making Max money by then though so he might be more realistic. About the Rondo making max money that's not gonna happen but maybe his increase in salary plus Powe's increase plus Big Baby's increase might come close or at least use up the majority of that money.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

neither is tony parker, and if rondo reaches the potential that seems perfectly possible and probable for him, he'll be making tony parker money. rondo's in his 2nd year man...2nd year! and on most nights, he's the 4th best player out there, next to 3 all stars. why can't anyone understand what a big deal it is for a second year player to put up 15 pts. and 6+ assists a game next to 3 other guys who are taking around 13 shots a piece per night?? the kid is for real, and he's only in year 2 of his development as an nba player.

on a side note, if KG can make 22 mil a year (something that seemed a rediculous price for even the best player in the league just a few short years ago), chris paul will be making more than 16 million in a few more years, you can count on it.

Hopefully we will still have Rondo.  I would much rather have him then Devin Harris.
