The dancing girls are part of a wider trend in the NBA. This ain't yo daddy's bball. I think the Gino dance is a good thing. It lights up the crowd. And while it might not be the same class as the cigar, it sends the same message: Game Over. Plus, those Gino shirts and hats are on sale for a good cause. The Boys Club of Boston gets all the procedes: wewantgino.com

So I say let Gino dance.

Hate the dancers, luv Lil Phunk. Gino has been around longer than most of the "new" fans. The whole point to dancers and jumbotrondumbusdown was to let the casual fan have a good "experience" no matter the outcome of the game. Hate it, hate it, hate, it....   We are Celtics fans, we don't need that crap.

Contrary to Red's wishes, you first take away smoking in the Garden (although you'll find me doing so if we win it all at the TD Banknorth)

Then contrary to his wishes again you throw in an attempt at in game entertainment...lets get back to basics,

Out with the dancers, this isn't a circus, its a **** basketball game...and bring back cigar smoking.

If you send them over the Atlantic ocean I am sure I could keep them occupied until next season :)  ;D

There hot but I agree they gotta go, not needed.  My friend works with one of them and said the dancers hate it and a few have quit because the dance coach sucks, haha.

I've read somewhere that Red didn't really mind about having dancers. He just didn't want to spend money with them. There was some quote of him like "Why do we need dancers if we're selling out every night? Rather save the money" (paraphrasing). If the dancing team is sponsored and the organization is not spending money on them, it's not that bad.

That said, yeah, let's get rid of them, they're not needed. And bring back the smoke. Keep Gino.

The Sox have their ball girls (who are pretty wholesome), and the Bruins have the "Ice Girls", so you're not so far off.
