I don't think Doc Rivers could have properly prepared the team for game three or game four for that matter. It's impossible to think that he did.
If you are up 2-0 and if you are truly serious about winning a championship, it that is what you say you want, how can you not go into game three, having a 2-0 edge and not come out with game seven intensity? How is that possible?
If you are truly serious about wanting to win a championship, you absolutely have to want to kick the other team when they are down and kick them extremely hard. I didn't see it.
What I saw in games three and four was a half hearted effort on the floor and a coach who was emotionless on the sidelines, standing there like a deer in the headlights.
Not what you want.
It's the playoffs, it's ok to get angry and go off on your players and wake them [] up.
It's also understandable for the players to maybe get lax, I understand it's not unusual. But that is where a great coach comes in slaps the crap out of them, instantly, and gets them back on track.
When they blew that first quarter lead in the first, instead of passively standing over there on the sideline doing nothing, watching the lead evaporate in minutes, Doc should have called a timeout while they were still up by 10 and been so far up their back sides he could have been yelling at their faces but they'd swear he was behind them.
Therefore, tonight is game seven to me.
I want to see bodies flying, heads rolling. I want people on the floor. I want blood and guts.
I want execution. I want defense. I want to see a team that is collectively furious when the Hawks get an offesnive rebound over there heads. I want to see some aggression and focus.
I want to see bodies flying and heads rolling.
Unless, of course, Doc Rivers and the celtics arent' really serious about winning an NBA title. Unless they've just been joking all season.
No masked profanity please...That was a pretty flagrant one. Thanks, Redz
