Nice to see Delonte making a game winner for Cleveland.  I still really like him, it just stinks that he's on the Cavs.

i guess it's nice to see some of our old guys do well. particularly the ones who actually established themselves here, as opposed to trash like blount, davis etc.

the support ends if we play them in the second round though.

success of these guys may help future trade value of our other youngs, as Danny shows he has a good eye for talent - for every 3 D.West hits and every post move big al shows, Powe, Baby, TA, Pruitt all may have a tiny bit more credibility

I will forever be a Delonte fan, very happy to see that shot fall.
"Take this down," said O'Neal. "My name is Shaquille O'Neal and Paul Pierce is the (expletive) truth. Quote me on that and don't take nothing out. I knew he could play, but I didn't know he could play like this. Paul Pierce is the truth."

It's nice to see De doing so well ... he's a kid with a lot of heart, and deserves the props. Way to go, Delonte!

My sons and I ran into Delonte near government center shortly after the trade. He took the time to say hello and thanked us for our support, shook our hands and went about his business. He is and always will be a class act and a [dang] nice guy in my book. I'm happy to see him have success so that he can get a nice little contract when the season is over.

If Eddie doesn't come back and there's no one else that entices Danny's interest in a backup combo guard/PG I wouldn't mind seeing DWest back in green. I think the front office has very high hopes for Gabe Pruitt though. I think he will be given those minutes next year as Rondo will be entrenched as the starter and the coaching staff will feel confident enough to give Pruitt minutes knowing their PG is solid, unlike the beginning of this year where Rondo was a rook and a vet was needed as a backup just in case Rondo didn't develop.Besides giving those minutes to Pruitt is good long term for getting a solid youth base established on the team and in saving some money.

Delonte had a very good game for Cleveland. If he can do that consistently for them it'll give them a very important weapon against trapping/double teaming LeBron.

I wish Delonte and all the other players who have worn the Green nothing but the best (yes, even Blount).

It's just that in the case of Delonte and a few others, it's much easier to do.

Nice shot, there will be an interesting sub plot line in the 2nd round with him going at Rondo, the guy who took his job.

Yeah that will be interesting. Delonte seemed to make a point of that matchup back in Seattle. I remember him trying to drive on Rondo throughout that game. He was playing for his pride then, probably still will in a playoff matchup.

If there is any guy in the league who would know how to properly handle Rondo, I guess it would be the guy that practiced against him every day for a year.

ESPN and TNT are sure to have a piece on the irony of Delonte coming back to try to beat the team and player that traded him away and took his spot.

Cleveland is a good team for Delonte since Lebron really runs the offense. Delonte should stay there if he can.

Yep, just like Perkins and Al Jefferson.

Yeah, that's what I wish for.  Struggling shooters on potential second round opponents building confidence by hitting game winning threes.
