Plus Steph fills a need for us which is the point guard spot. He allows Derrick White to slide over to the combo guard position and PP to go to the bench. And he can be very effective without the ball in his hands.

Curry was a game changer. 5 years ago he would have been a dream addition.

Now not so much.

Why did we go from a 29 year old in his prime Jaylen Brown to a 36 year old in his twilight Paul George to a just about ready to retire 38 year old Steph Curry?

And we would give up two 1sts in the process?

It doesn't make sense to me. Tatum still has an injury to recover from, we don't know how long that will take.

Keep the powder dry, see if someone else shakes loose. With George's contract we at least have a year or two to see if it can be used as a makeweight to trade for someone who can help us.

Steph for PG, Hauser, and a couple non-Philly 1sts would work for me. Steph, Dw, BS, Jt, and queta would work well, and leave a string bench of Pp, Hugo, Walsh, menace, and Mr.  Very solid.

Jokic isn't gonna happen next summer, so if there's a chance for Curry by trading George, 1 of Hauser/Baylor and 3 non-Clippers future picks, I'd do it. Curry is still a Top-15 player in the NBA despite his age, and his mere presence and shooting ability on the court would help the young guys + bench guys on our team.

This isn't gonna happen though, I've always felt Curry will retire in Golden State. A rare thing nowadays where a player spends his entire career and retires on just one team.
