I?m going to remain hopeful that Brad will move Paul George and picks to upgrade the roster at some point this coming season. Stevens brought in White, Jrue, and KP. He has a history of making big moves. The JB trade was disappointing, but I do not think we should give up hope at this point.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

I wish but I sadly think we will be waiting 1-2 years for that other shoe to drop.

If that?s the case, they should just trade Tatum and go full rebuild. Why would JT want to stick around for that? He wants to be competing for championships. They would be wasting his prime.

Think this is the roster.

2027 will be the next chance to improve.

Spending power in trades and free agency

Boston can still offer the $5.5 million bi-annual exception to free agents along with the veteran?s minimum. The team also holds a $27.5 million traded player exception along with several other smaller exceptions. However, they can?t be fully utilized due to the first apron hard cap ($209 million) this season without Boston trimming additional salary elsewhere.

Youre absolutely right. I have been a Celtics fan since 9 years old, and it?s really hard to let go, but I am done. Private equity ownership and the horrendous new CBA have stripped any enjoyment from the sport. Whatever. There are more fulfilling things in life to focus on.

I mean, they won a championship in 2024

Im well aware.

Since then, they have lost 4 players from the core of that team with only 36 year old Paul George and two (probably) mediocre draft picks to show for it.

Wait, never mind, I forgot: we got a 2nd round pick from the Hawks in the Kristaps Porzingis trade. Were good!

We knew the team was going to do a reset with the new CBA. Let?s see what Brad does with PG13. At his age, he is clearly not part of the future. Season is months away.

I mean let's be reminded it's the parity era and no longer the dynasty era.

Knicks won without any generational talent players or with just one superstar.

Maybe we may win one again soon we just need the right pieces around Tatum

Different CBA, different owner.
