Wasting Tatum's prime years.

This is horrendous.

PP
White
PG
JT
Robinson

That is a play in to low seed in the east at best

So, if I knew this was the alternative, I gladly would have thrown Hugo and another first at Milwaukee.

If this happened in a fantasy keeper league it would be vetoed.

Surely something else is going on that we don't know about. There is no way that Stevens goes from mostly a very good GM who has made many very good player acquisitions to this trade that makes absolutely no sense. Keeping Jaylen for the time being would have been way better than this, which looks like an effort to become a weaker team.

(The only explanation is the owners deciding to save money, which would be a very disconcerting red flag .............. though they were willing to pay Giannis' salary ?)

Did we save any $$$?

Not over the next two seasons.

George makes about 3-4 million less than Brown per year the next couple years

Yup, Chiss boy didn't want to be in the tax and they were about 3 million away from being under. That's fine but can you find another way besides just giving away one of your best players in his prime to a team in your division? This owner needs to hear it from the fans.

This is the worst day in franchise history since Reggie Lewis died in 1993. I actually think this hurts more than the game 7 loss in 2010.

Any word on whether another deal is in the works?

Agreed, this is an absolute gut punch and I don't know how Brad and the owner can try to sell this to the fans. Championship window is closed right now. They are probably the 5th best team in the east right now.

I am 64 and for the first time in my life, I am thinking of changing my favorite team!! What give Brad the right to screw us for the next 5 years. Any suggestions on a new team???

RIP my Celtics fandom. 2002-2026.

I have no shame in admitting I became a Spurs fan today.

What are you saving?  One year of Jaylen's max salary? George is a couple of million cheaper and here for 2 seasons.

Well, one other possible explanation is that the relationship between brown and the team became unsalvageable, but that doesn?t make this trade any better.

1. Brad absolutely fumbled the Giannis deal by low balling them
2. Had no plan B after burning the bridge
3. They do not want to pay JB the extension

4. The picks are WORTHLESS

5. Saddled with an old, injured piece of crap Paul George

6. Made your rival a serious contender

Brad Stevens should be fired. This is the worst deal the Cs have made in decades

They won't get 50 games out of PG

Not spending another dime of my money on this poorly run franchise. Absolute stupidity we all just witnessed, there is no explaining that trade

If we replace Brown with George, Robinson, and a TPE player, then we will be a better team this year.

That's a fact.
