Here is a breakdown of the starting PG position by size

6 feet 0 = 4 players = Trae, Maxey, VanVleet, Davion Mitchell
6 foot 1 = 2 players = Brunson, D Garland

So only 6 players in the league at 6 foot 1 or under. 20% of starting PGs. You can also see the size difference with big body Brunson vs Garland. A thick body vs a slender body. Same with VanVleet and D Mitchell who are strong physically powerful PGs but short in height.

6 foot 2 = 6 players = Steph, Kyrie, Morant, Acuff, Scottie Pippen Jr, Donovan Mitchell.

Now I put Donovan Mitchell or you could put James Harden here. Harden is more the PG on offense. However, Mitchell is more the PG on defense. I put in Mitchell because he is the smaller guard because my main point is how few smaller guards there are starting now in the league.

So we have 12 players now. 40% of the league is 6-2 or under.

---------

The new average size PG is now 6-3. Even 6-4.

6 foot 3 = 2 players = D Fox, Morant, Keyonte George, McCollum

That brings us to 14 players. Half the league. Midway point.

6 foot 4 = 3 players = D White, Keyonte George, Ryan Rollins

So we have 6 players in this 6-3 to 6-4 range. From 12th to 17th in the league in size at PG position.

Now I would probably put the 6-4 guys with the bigger guards in the next section but they are 16th and 17th in size overall. So really middle of the pack now.

------------

So from 18th-30th we now have the big PGs

6 foot 5 = 6 players = T Haliburton, J Murray, J Suggs, Dejounte Murray, Coby White, I Quickley

That takes us to 23 PGs. So we have 7 PGs who are 6-6 are above. That is just over 20% of the league. 23.3% of the league.

6 foot 6 = SGA, Devin Booker
6 foot 7 = Cade, LaMelo, Giddey, Egor Demin
6 foot 8 = Luka

-------------------

23.3% of league = 6-6 and above
20% of league = 6-5

16.7% of league = 6-3 or 6-4

40% of league = 6-0 to 6-2

As Zeke would say - the little guy is getting pushed out of the NBA.

What?s interesting is that there are very few pass first PGs left in the NBA. Every PG you listed is score first. Also, Morant is 6?2 and Keyonte George is 6?4

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.
