Great trade for Charlotte.

Phoenix will regret trading Grayson. He has been key to their success last season and 3 years ago. It was his absence / reduced role 2 years ago that led to their disappointing season. That is about to happen again.

No Grayson Allen = no playoffs for Phoenix.

I wonder if Phoenix will play without a PG.

G: Devin Booker
G: Jalen Green
F: Dillon Brooks
F: Miles Bridges
C: Mark Williams

Collin Gillispie as a 6th man. They also have Jordan Goodwin as a backup SG. So their backcourt is locked up. They have Koby Brea as well as a 3rd stringer.

The backup forwards are all kids. Ryan Dunn. Rasheer Fleming. Koa Peat. And their backup centers are Oso Ighodaro and Khaman Maluach. Also youngsters. Not much dependable performers there. Lotta kids.

With Miles Bridges gone, that clears the way for Charlotte to start Naz Reid at PF.

G: Coby White
G: Kon Knueppel
F: Brandon Miller
F: Naz Reid
C: Moussa Diabate

Main Bench: Grayson Allen, Sion James, Royce O'Neal, Grant Williams, Ryan Kalkbrenner

Deep Bench: Tre Mann, Christian Anderson, Pat Connaughton, Liam McNeeley, T Salaun, Hannes Steinbach.

Hannes Steinbach as a bench PF behind Naz Reid? Play with 2 bigs at all times. Maybe. Or Grant Williams. He is the most dependable backup PF option they have.

-------------

The depth and balance of Charlotte is impressive. They should still be a .500 team without LaMelo.

Hornets seem to be doing a culture overhaul as much as anything.

Kind of feels like both teams rearranging chairs inside the Titanic lol. It's solid for Charlotte I guess but I'm not as high on Grayson Allen either, and not sure why Phoenix gives up an unprotected first rounder for Bridges, a pick that's projected to be when PHO doesn't have their stars anymore.

Suns should just blow it up and give us Devin Booker and Dillon Brooks

Old friend Grant Williams falling down the depth chart.  He will be about $14M this season, that last on this contract.  Right around the full MLE  I guess that is not horrible for an undersized back up PF these days.

Yep.  Love it.  Charles Lee deserves it.  Get rid of the knuckleheads, bring in some grinders.

Hornets will likely be a play-in team. I think if they built on what they had last year they could have been a playoff team.

Charlotte losing both Ball & Bridges gotta hurt them..Reid, Allen. & Royce are not an upgrade
C/PF-Horford, Baynes, Noel, Theis, Morris,
SF/SG- Tatum, Brown, Hayward, Smart, Semi, Clark
PG- Irving, Rozier, Larkin
