Can Queta be involved in a sign and trade with Brown or can we do that separately?

At first I was going to let them keep Clingan but if we are giving up Brown he must be included in Want Clingan,  Sharpe, Camara,  and Scoot for Brown and I'm willing to throw in Hauser,  Hugo,  Scheierman,  Pritchard.  There choice of one of those players.

Is anyone asking for picks back as well. Might ask for four firsts and see if it sticks.

People say 4 quarters don't equal a dollar in the nba. Does anyone think this trade would help the Celtics short and long term.

It's similar to the heat trade Clingan/Ware, Hero/ Sharpe, Jacquez/Scoot
Ksaper/Camara

Clingan Queta
Tatum Camara Cenac Jr
Sharpe Hugo Dillon Mitchell
White Scheierman
Scoot Pritchard

If Brad could pull off this rotation this would be a big win.

Queta is under contract for next year so they can just trade him.  No need for a sign-and-trade.

I posted in the offseason trades thread a Portland trade idea that is a little different. I?m indifferent on Clingan as I don?t think he?ll ever be good defensively and Sharpe is mostly an empty stats player. Instead I?d focus on Grant to help salary matching, Advija and Scoot.

If I?m trading Brown who was 6th in MVP voting I want Deni and Scoot as part of the package to go along with Grant who is probably neutral value at best with his salary and figure out from there what picks to add. I don?t want 4 quarters for a dollar this is closer to what I would want, otherwise just walk away.

I'd take Clingman, Sharpe, two firsts, one which is unprotected!

Sharpe is so young. He's on a great contract and can be an electrifying player, but I've never watched a game of his and thought "he's a good basketball player."

If we could divert him to a third team that likes him for a solid player, I'm all-in. If we came out of the trade with Clingan and Murphy or something like that, then I think it would be a homerun trade.

Maybe this is where NOP comes in with Murphy......

Grant cannot stay healthy. Since 2020 the guy has not played more than 60 games in a season.

According to Portland fans, Grant and picks is a good deal for Brown.

Grant is old and his role in the playoffs disappeared. Portland will try to dump that sorry contract on Boston in this deal.

Seeing on Twitter that Portland fans are losing their minds over possibly including the Klingon for Brown.

I agree with them. There is no point in Jaylen if they lose Clingan. They are not a title contender without Clingan. Jaylen at his age and his contract ... not worth it.

Better to keep Clingan / reject Jaylen. He is their franchise center for the next 10-12 years.

Many POR fans feel the same way. I see a common take on his game as "very talented but is he ever going to get it?"

Reminds me of Nick Young & JR Smith. They had All-Star talent but could never figure it out. I saw JR podcast recently talking about he suffered from depression most of his careers and wonders how much that stopped him from becoming a better player.

Anyway. Most common complaint by Blazers fans on Shaedon Sharpe is his defense. Bad defender. Good physical tools. Bad defender. He also has tunnel vision like a young Jaylen Brown. A 1:1 AST:TOV ratio with low assists which is terrible for a SG. So the opposite of a connectivity player. A "me, me, me" player.

Scores a lot of points. Poor efficiency. Bad non-scoring contributions. A below average to average player overall.

4 years in it is looking less and less likely that he is ever going to get it.
