Unlocking this now.  I plan on updating the big board as best I can in real time tonight for the 1st round.  2nd round picks will be updated after the draft.

A few reminders:

-A reminder the draft is a two day event.  First round tonight and second round tomorrow night. Both on ESPN.

-Please no tipping picks.  Not every one is glued to Twitter so please don't announce picks ahead of time in this thread. You will be tossed.

-We've archived previous draft threads going all the way back to 2008.  Feel free to peruse and see how right (or wrong) you were in the past.    https://forum.celticsstrong.com/index.php?topic=70840.0

Enjoy the draft tonight!

Feels like it's gonna be a hectic few hours tonight. It's a deep class but also, I'm sure there will be lots of trade rumors as well and probably even some trades. Buckle up

ESPN mocked Koa Peat to us at 27.  While I would love to trade up, I would be ecstatic if Peat fell to us at 27.  He was mocked as a lottery pick a couple months ago, and while that might have been too high, I think he should be in the 15-20 range.  27 seems way too low.

Thought there were issues with his shot which is why he's dropped quite a bit

There are, but those same criticisms existed when he was being mocked to the lottery.  I think there is just some groupthink, and an organization that is willing to bet on an athletic kid who can pass, dribble, and really just has a good feel for the game can also learn to shoot if given NBA coaching is going to be rewarded.

These family interviews are awkward as hell so far

My Grizzlies friend is hyped about the Boozer pick for them. It'll be interesting, this Top-3 has a ton of potential, but Boozer *could* end up being the best of the class. We'll see.

I hate them. I wish they'd get rid of them.

I have no interest in hearing from the family members of the player.

Extremely, would it kill Lisa Salters to ask a single question related to basketball or the City that drafted the player? ESPN puts way too much focus on the family pageantry aspect.

Wizards have some good depth on the perimeter

G: Trae Young, Bub Carrington
G: AJ Dybantsa, Tre Johnson
F: Kyshawn George, Bilal Coulibaly
F: Anthony Davis
C: Alex Sarr

Others: D'Angelo Russell, Jaden Hardy, Cam Whitmore, Will Riley, Justin Champagnie

Either Dybantsa or Kyshawn George will have to defend SGs. I expect it will be Dybantsa given he is the better athlete.

I am excited to see this Memphis team

That big man rotation of Z Edey, Cam Boozer, and Santi Aldama should be good. Two young wings in C Coward and Jaylen Wells alongside Ja Morant at the point. Scottie Pippen Jr and Ty Jerome off the bench in the backcourt. KCP backup SF. That is a good rotation.

G: Ja Morant, S Pippen Jr
G: C Coward, Ty Jerome
F: J Wells, KCP
F: Cam Boozer, S Aldama
C: Z Edey, (Cam Boozer)
