QuoteHeat Central: The Bucks owners are "split" on which decision to make with a Giannis trade and Boston is NOT willing to add multiple 1st round picks like Miami, per @JakeLFischer "We're being told there is some type of split faction in MIL right now among the major stakeholders for the Bucks' the Celtics to our understanding, are not willing to offer the same level of multiple years of draft capital that the Miami Heat are" (Via @BleacherReport)

Hugo was the 28th pick in a weak draft and averaged a whopping 3.9 ppg, 3.3 rpg, 0.5 apg, 0.6 spg, 0.3 bpg, 0.5 tpg, and 1.7 fpg. That is the guy you are holding firm on.

Not someone who should stop the trade from going through.
Bill Simmons@BillSimmons?7mI?m just gonna say?.I would be absolutely shocked if Hugo was/is thrown into any Giannis trade offer. The entire organization is all-in on him - Stevens prob the most. They could not be higher on him. I genuinely don?t believe he?s involved. Guess we?ll see.

But, I will never forget Rodrigue Beaubois, a young Euro prospect that the Mavs absolutely refused to include in trade offers for stars, until such point as he was out of the league as a nobody. Sometimes, low production high potential prospects don't develop.
Just don't think this deal needs Hugo and a boatload of picks. One or the other.

His 12.4 net rating and +6.4 on-off is not what you see from rookies who get 15 minutes per night. Those stats are typically reserved for fluke numbers in garbage time over a couple hundred minutes or star players. And the eye test with how active he is on the court backs up those advanced stats.

Hugo is 50% from the FT line and he has no midrange game.
