The Paraguay player was divingtrying to get a free kick and was down for two minutes while paraguay had to defend with 10 men because he was too embarrassed probably to get up and show that he was just embellishing. This is the kind of stuff that?s really embarrassing.

Now he?s being subbed off? he looks fine, I guess he was just trying to delay the inevitable

Strange game. Fun game. Hard to predict.

A tactical battle.

Germany taking so long for their buildup though? They?re giving Paraguay chance to get into their low block? It?s hard once there?s so many bodies in the penalty area

I will say that Paraguay are very good at defending the player with the ball

Clear foul on the keeper.

I hope they do not give that goal.

Tah went from hero to zero? Thought he had won the game for Germany with a header in the extra time only for the goal to be disallowed due to a foul, the VAR picked up then he misses a penalty, one of three that the Germans missed, but he was immediately before the winning one was scored by Paraguay

I think Germany can feel hard done by, they dictated the game a lot more, but Paraguay executed their little block to perfection and defended extremely well and in a penalty shoot out anything can happen

Penalty kicks are intense for everyone, but I understand the need for them to ultimately crown a winner of a game lol. That was awesome from Paraguay. Yes, the VAR decision and Germany's ability to dictate play were factors, but they fought hard and it was still a well deserved win. What an upset!

USA beat Paraguay 4-1 btw

I'd much rather be the US than Germany from a momentum standpoint.  Germany played their regular team and lost. The US played every backup on the roster, Pulisic got game action and looked good, no one picked up a 2nd yellow or red, and the US missed a lot of strikes in a game that didn't matter with its backups and lost on the literal last kick of the game. Miasion accompanied. On to Bosnia in northern California on Wednesday.
I guess I pegged Germany pretty well.
