That's crazy. Mbappe, Messi AND Haaland now with 2+ goals in each of their first two games. Two straight braces for each guy, and Messi obviously had the hat trick last match.

Ronaldo has some real pressure  :P

Ghana hold Old Blighty to a draw in Foxborough  :police:

79% possession from the Engerlund but they just couldn?t break through, hit the crossbar on their best attempt

Bosnia up 2-1 on Qatar at halftime. If the result holds, BIH is VERY likely the Round of 32 opponent for the USA. If Qatar comes back and wins, it's Qatar. Only gets super dicey if that's a draw, then it introduces the possibility of teams like Senegal, Ecuador, Algeria or Austria (no thanks).

Haiti is giving Morocco a nice fight. It was 1-0 and 2-1 Haiti, but now it's tied again

Scotland better hope that Haiti draw with Morocco because they?re getting absolutely hammered right now, totally unraveling 3?0

Morocco ended up beating Haiti 4-2, coming from behind, while Brazil thrashed Scotland, so it's going to be a nervous wait for the Sweaties to see if they make it as one of the 8 3rd place teams. Their GD took a beating today so they have a 50% chance to progress. Personally I hope they do I want to see the Tartan Army back in Boston for the first knockout game, they were so much fun at the pubs in Boston   :police:

What a game from Ecuador? Beat Germany 2?1. Ecuadorian supporters in tears in the stands. They go through as one of the best third place team teams.

Yeah this game doesn't matter at all and the U.S are playing backups. But boy these backups are bad lol, Turkey is just toying with them at times. Turkey is a great program with a lot of talent and soccer is huge there, which is why it's shocking they are going home already since they were actually favored to win the group going in. But you're seeing some of it here.

All the hype about the US and Pulisic, and I finally get to see a game and it's a crappy performance against a bad Turkey team.

Turkey, after scoring zero goals in its first two games, scores 3 against the US, including the winner in the 98th minute. The US, after tying it at 2, missed 3 or 4 wide open nets.

I know it doesn't change the group outcome or the US's next opponent, but it's a bit of a momentum killer, IMO.

Haven't had as much time to watch the matches as I would have liked so far (although the pubs have been absolutely electric, as you'd expect) but I have very much enjoyed all the content re: different countries' fanbases being embraced by their host cities.

Scotland is doomed, as is tradition, but otherwise things seem to be unfolding as expected (save the US topping their group, though the team last year looked pretty promising)

I'd much rather be the US than Germany from a momentum standpoint.  Germany played their regular team and lost. The US played every backup on the roster, Pulisic got game action and looked good, no one picked up a 2nd yellow or red, and the US missed a lot of strikes in a game that didn't matter with its backups and lost on the literal last kick of the game. Miasion accompanied. On to Bosnia in northern California on Wednesday.
