Rumor:
Sacramento get Miles Bridges, Josh Green & hornets first

Charlotte get D. Sabonis

Be great for Hornets but for Kings, I don?t like it unless they just want Sabonis salary gone

Marc Stein on Giannis

This much is clear: Boston is believed to be a potential suitor that genuinely concerns Miami.

There is skepticism, by contrast, that Antetokounmpo would truly be open to signing a contract extension in Portland, which is expected to inevitably dissuade the Trail Blazers from trading for him directly.

Interesting info about Portland.

Teams and Agents are operating as if a Giannis trade is definitely happening and the Bucks might have two picks inside the lottery, per @ZachLowe_NBA ?Teams are operating as if it?s happening. Agents are operating as if it?s happening. They?re looking at Milwaukee as a rebuilding team. They?re looking at Milwaukee as a team that might have another first round pick in the lottery and scheduling their draft workouts around it. Everyone is operating and getting the vibe of ?this is gonna happen.? Other agents have told me teams in the Giannis Chase are acting as if they might not have their first round pick in the draft.?

No idea what sources Zach Lowe has; he's always been a better writer and analyst than a "breaking news" sort of insider.  But, what lottery teams would have interest in Giannis?  Miami and maybe Golden State?

Dallas?

Giannis, Kyrie and Cooper Flagg together?

Dallas could put together enough contracts for Giannis while keeping Kyrie. Gafford, Klay, Naji Marshall, Caleb Martin gets them to Giannis money. Their lotto pick. Future picks. Max Christie. D Lively. Actually, Lively, a lotto pick, and future picks is a nice package.

Dallas would lose both their centers in that deal. They could make it bigger and include Myles Turner with PJ Washington added to the other side. Or leave out M Turner and swap Gafford for PJ Washington. I'd rather have M Turner than Gafford.

How about Sacramento?

Zach LaVine, their lotto pick and K Murray for Giannis. SAC keep D Sabonis and DeRozan to pair with Giannis.

----------

LA Clippers should try and offer their 5th pick & Garland for Giannis. A Giannis and Kawhi duo.

I think he's gonna end up in Miami. It also sounds like Miami has made an offer, and the Bucks are now sort of just waiting to see if other trade partners materialize or a better offer in general. Miami is likely offering Herro, Ware and 1 or both of Jacquez/Jovic + picks. It's a beatable offer but only if certain teams get in the mix and make it. Otherwise that's probably the best they'll get.

Of course, there is always a chance at a 3-team trade with a 3rd team facilitating in some way but that's the likely framework from Miami's side.

Personally, I'm surprised CLE isn't in on the sweepstakes. A Mitchell-Harden-Giannis Big 3 would be great and they'd still have enough around them post-trade. Either they value Mobley a ton or just aren't interested in Giannis for some reason.

The Celtics are willing to trade anyone on their roster not named Jayson Tatum to acquire Giannis Antetokounmpo, per @KevinOConnor (podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/the?).

Boston is aggressively making calls in the marketplace to form a competitive package to the Bucks for Giannis.
Recovering Joe Skeptic, but inching towards a relapse.

Confirms that Jaylen Brown is expendable.

Make it happen Brad! The time to win is now.

"The Celtics are willing to trade anyone on their roster not named Jayson Tatum to acquire Giannis Antetokounmpo,"
Me: That's interesting.
"Per Kevin O'Connor."
Me: Never mind.

The Celtics should be interested, but the nature of this reporting makes me feel like this is Boston being used to drive up the price on Miami (maybe even Boston helping to do so).

For a tight-lipped organization run by Stevens, these last 24 hours of Giannis rumors seems a bit out of character. And yeah, KOC + Simmons mostly just spout opinions and stuff they've "heard" that could just be some random guy in a coffee shop. I think Brad is just trying to drive up the price for MIA or another team, and/or maybe he's exploring if they could be a 3rd team in a potential trade to facilitate and acquire something in it even if it's not Giannis.

This is the correct reaction to that tweet.
