This simulation has kind of a frustrating disregard for players who don't score tons of points, I feel.  I get that a model built on basic counting stats (which aren't even tracked for older players) is going to misvalue defensive impact, but it doesn't seem to respect traditional point guards like John Stockton and Steve Nash much either.

Anyway, best run is 77-5 so far.  It's a fun exercise.  I'll poke at it again later tonight probably.

82-0 is basically just making some kind of points, rebounds, assists, blocks, steals calculation. That's why having Wilt Chamberlain as your center and his 45/18 during the 1960's leads to all these high 70's wins lineups.

My guess is it runs some kind of algorithm where there record you get is based off how close you get to an arbitrary 100% threshold of the various stats.

Its addicting, it not particularly interesting in a basketball sense though.

20s Doncic
20s Ant Edwards
00s TMac
20s Giannis
60s Wilt

There's the Wilt win, lol.

This one might have had a chance even without him.

82-0!

It took Wilt, but I can now go on with my life.

Clever little game... we almost need subcategories like "no Wilt" or "I just realized you can change the team, era AND player positions"!

I'm like 1/100 getting Wilt, but a couple of Kareem sightings. Anyone get 82-0 without Wilt?

You can change the player positions??

Not positions, but I was able to reroll the team and era once each.
Any odd typos are because I suck at typing on an iPhone :D

62-20 But again, they'd be super fun to watch!

Play 82-0: https://www.82-0.com/share?id=pLD6UQZzUE4bpax7sKMh

How is that team only a 62-20?

Shaq and C-Webb in the post. Chauncey at the controls with prime Vince and prime Ray Allen on the wings.

Cool team.

I haven't had Westbrook yet. I wonder how valuable he is in this game. He'd be a near triple double PG.

The game does seem to like Fat Lever was 80s / 90s Nuggets.

On another note, has anyone else noticed that Micheal Ray Richardson is not in the game? I was wanting to take him on the 80s Nets. He isn't on the 80s Knicks either.
