Zuby Ejiofor will be in our pick range.  Sounds like the high hustle guys that Pitino likes.

Strengths

Rebounding: Consistently active on both ends of the glass; pursues the ball outside his area and generates second-chance opportunities through effort and physicality.

Rim Protection: Strong frame and vertical pop allow him to challenge shots at the rim; rotates with urgency and is willing to absorb contact.

Play Finishing: Finishes through contact with power; effective as a cutter, dump-off target, and short-roll option who does not need plays run for him.

Post Defense: Holds his ground against bigger bodies; uses leverage, lower-body strength, and strong hands to disrupt post-ups.

Rim Running: Runs the floor hard, changes ends quickly, and puts pressure on defenses as an early-seal and transition finisher.

Motor and Toughness: Brings consistent competitiveness and edge; provides energy shifts and raises the overall physicality level of his team.

Concerns

Limited Self-Creation: Not a natural shot creator; relies on guards to generate his looks and can struggle when asked to score outside of his comfort zone.

Decision-Making: Passing out of short rolls and double teams can be inconsistent; tends to predetermine actions rather than make quick, reactive reads.

Shooting Range: Jumper remains underdeveloped; currently offers little spacing value beyond his presence as a threat around the rim.

Foul Discipline: Aggressive style leads to foul trouble at times; can over-commit on contests or swipe down late instead of verticality.

Perimeter Footwork: While mobile for his size, lateral discipline on switches can be hit or miss; vulnerable to quicker guards when he opens his stance too early.

He looks like a good pick at 40.

Ejiofor was a great college player (loved that St Johns team this past year) but I dont see him as anything more than Xavier Tillman 2.0 in the NBA.

Could be kind of interesting if he ever becomes a good 3 pt shooter.

I'd like to see the C's pick up Jacari White from UVa in the free agent market after the draft and stash him in the G-League.

That guy can flat out shoot!

It's interesting that his combine measurements are almost identical to Tillman except for weight. Tillman was about 20 lbs heavier.

Height w/o shoes       Standing Reach   Weight     Wingspan
Xavier Tillman Sr.   6'7.50''                 8'10.00''            266.5   7'2.00''
Zuby Ejiofor           6'7.50''              8'11.00''            245.2   7'2.00''

Just for reference, Isaiah Stewart measured 6'7.25'' with a 9'00.50'' standing reach, 243 lbs, and a 7'4.75'' wingspan, though he was 19 at the time. Tillman was 21 and Ejiofor is currently 22.

As fascinating as this list is it's worth noting lasts years pick Hugo Gonzalez did not work out for the Celtics, probably because he was an international playing on another team at the time.

Ejiofor is a much better athlete than Tillman was.

If all you get is a vet that gives you good minutes for 4 years like Tillman did for Memphis, then that's still not a bad pick. I think he gives you more than that though.

Nice break down,

If the Cs want Zuby I think it will have to be at #27. I'll be surprised if he falls too #40.

My two guys at the 4/5 spot all draft cycle have been Morez Joohnson and Baba Miller. What was keeping Zuby out as my 3rd guy was my expectation that he would measure in small for the role and like Grant Williams have to play more as a big wing in the NBA instead of being a smallish big. At 6'7.5" 245lbs with a 7'2 ws his measurements are more closely in line with Horford 6'8/240/7', Bam 6'8.75/243/7'2.75, and I Stewart 6'7.25"/240/7'4.75" than Grant Williams or Draymond Green. At his size I can easily see him climbing firmly into the 1st round.

I really like his fit with the currently roster as his mix of defense and perimeter skills would add a wrinkle the team lost with the departure of Al and Tillman not ascending into the role.

Also worth pointing our Morez could be lottery bound at 6'9/250/7'3.5" !
