The 3 young PFs

Quote
BYU's AJ Dybantsa measured 6'8.5 barefoot and 217 pounds at the NBA Draft Combine, with a 7'0.25 wingspan and 8'10 standing reach.

Duke's Cam Boozer measured 6'8.25 barefoot and 253 pounds at the NBA Draft Combine, with a 7'1.5 wingspan and 9'0 standing reach.

UNC's Caleb Wilson measured 6'9.25 barefoot and 211 pounds at the NBA Draft Combine, with a 7'0.25 wingspan and 9'0 standing reach.

Darryn Peterson

Quote
Kansas' Darryn Peterson measured 6'4.5 barefoot and 199 pounds at the NBA Draft Combine, with a 6'9.75 wingspan and 8'7 standing reach.

Good measurables for D Peterson for a SG.

The top 10 crop of PGs

Quote
Illinois' Keaton Wagler measured 6'5 barefoot and 188 pounds at the NBA Draft Combine, with a 6'6.25 wingspan and 8'4 standing reach.

Arkansas' Darius Acuff measured 6'2 barefoot and 186 pounds at the NBA Draft Combine, with a 6'7 wingspan and 8'2.5 standing reach.

Houston's Kingston Flemings measured 6'2.5 barefoot and 183 pounds at the NBA Draft Combine, with a 6'3.5 wingspan and 8'2.5 standing reach

Louisville?s Mikel Brown measured 6?3.5 barefoot and 190 pounds at the NBA Draft Combine, with a 6?7.5 wingspan and 8?9.5 standing reach.

Arizona's Brayden Burries measured 6'3.75 barefoot and 215 pounds at the NBA Draft Combine, with a 6'6 wingspan and 8'2.5 standing reach.

Quote
Labaron Philon 6 foot 2.5 inches barefoot 6 foot 6.25 inches wingspan 8 foot 3.5 inches standing reach.

I find many of those measurables disappointing. They were being billed as bigger 6-4 / 6-5 guards. Wagler has size but short arms and not much of a standing reach. Most of them are around 8 foot 2 inches standing reach with is average for a PG. Flemings the same size as Acuff. Mikel Brown the only one with a big advantage in terms of standing reach.

Some other notables

Quote
Tennessee's Nate Ament measured 6'9.5 barefoot and 211 pounds at the NBA Draft Combine, with a 6'11.5 wingspan and 9'1.5 standing reach.

Michigan's Yaxel Lendeborg measured 6'8.75 barefoot and 241 pounds at the NBA Draft Combine, with a 7'3.25 wingspan and 9'0.5 standing reach.

Morez Johnson 6 foot 9 barefoot 251lbs 7 foot 3.5 inches wingspan 8 foot 11 inch wingspan.

Young centers

Quote
Kentucky's Jayden Quaintance measured 6'9 barefoot and 253 pounds at the NBA Draft Combine, with a 7'5.25 wingspan and 9'1 standing reach.

Michigan's Aday Mara measured 7'3 barefoot and 260 pounds at the NBA Draft Combine, with a 7'6 wingspan and 9'9 standing reach.

Chris Cenac 6 foot 10.25 inches barefoot 240lbs 7 foot 5 wingspan 9 foot 0.5 inches standing reach.

Hannes Steinbech 6 foot 10.25 inches barefoot 248lbs 7 foot 2.25 inches wingspan 9 foot 0 inches standing reach.

Henri Veesar 6 foot 11.25 inches barefoot 227lbs 7 foot 2 inch wingspan 9 foot 3 inch standing reach

Its been interesting to follow the measurements as they are reported.

Over all the guards have not faired great. Wagler/Fleming shorter wingspan than expected, Philon only gained 1 pound, Burries shorter arms than one would hope.

However the bigs are having a great day! Morez is bigger than Bam at 6'9 250 with 7'3.5" WS, Mara is giant, Hannes is true center sized. Taris Reed just under 6'10 and 260+ with great length.

Boozer ain?t playing Center at 6?8.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

Same measurements as AL, by no means a full time center but going small with him at the 5 is a wrinkle his team will be able to utilize.

Yeah, looks like a David Lee situation. Start Cam Boozer at PF and then use him as a small ball C in offensive lineups where desired.

I miss the early part of the season when Aday Mara was mocked in the late 20s.  I knew it would not last, but a 9-9 standing reach might actually beat Wemby.  Not as skilled as Wemby, of course, but he is no slouch and can make some really nice passes.
