cavs are two losses away from blowing it up. Mitchell will be gone. Harden also.

They would not have anything to put around Giannis and that is before the cap hell they are in.

Mobley for Giannis is a great deal for both sides.

Giannis, D Mitchell, Harden is one heck of a Big Three.

What really matters here is, will Giannis extend in Cleveland? If it?s not a guaranteed yes, then they are looking at trading Mobley and multiple 1sts for an expiring Giannis

I don't htink it's good for the Bucks. They'll want more.

I would be shocked if any deal is not an extend-and-trade.  No way is a team taking on Giannis without an extension signed.  If he does not sign a deal as part of the trade an extension cannot be agree to for six months after it.

I'd have to look at the Cavs roster and cap, but haven't they been a 2nd apron team the last two seasons already? I would think that would heavily restrict their ability to do a trade like this.

I voted no because dude seem not stay healthy last couple of years plus money is another thing. If trade Jaylen for him we still be in same boat as last year, paying 3 guys lot of money. Now if trade White also for lesser higher paid player or players then I would think about it
C/PF-Horford, Baynes, Noel, Theis, Morris,
SF/SG- Tatum, Brown, Hayward, Smart, Semi, Clark
PG- Irving, Rozier, Larkin

E Mobley + J Allen for Giannis + M Turner

That trade works in the ESPN trade machine.

Yep, the E Mobley + Merril for Giannis works as well. According to the ESPN trade machine.

Which was kind of my point. It doesn't matter if MIL absolutely loves Mobley, if CLE isn't on Giannis' list, then he will not be getting traded there.

3 of the last four seasons Giannis either missed the playoffs due to injury, would have been questionable at best for the playoffs due to injury if his team had made it (this year), or was hurt early in the first round.  Heck, the one year he made it through unscathed his team lost in 5 games, so who knows how long he would have lasted.

There was a time when such a trade would have been an obvious yes.  That time is long past, and it is much closer to an obvious no.  He just is not someone who seems likely to be available into May, much less June, at this point.

Yeah he's been dealing with some knee/calf issues over the past two years. That makes me wary as well, just feels he could be a ticking time bomb with that situation

Sure but there's also a risk with Jaylen Brown too in terms of health. He was out in 2021. He also was playing hurt in like 2023 and 2025.

I voted no because there was not an option for Hell no, please God, No!
I think Giannis is fool's gold. He's got a bad vibe. There were clips last year where he was yelling at regular guy helpstaff. At least when Jaylen gets emotional he takes it out on the refs. Lol.
This feels like another KD in Phoenix, KD and Harden in Brooklyn, or another KD in Houston. Come to think about it, KD is a great example. Great name recognition, everybody calls it a no-brainer to get for your team but it doesn't pan out. Giannis reminds me of the arrogance of LeBron who always places himself above the team and wants to dictate the things around him and force the team to get the players he wants. Just say no!
I hate watching the kind of basketball he plays. Just bowl into the defense and knock everybody over and expect the refs to give you 40 free throws. A basketball player who only can do bully ball is not a basketball player, but a football player on a basketball court. (I used to say that LeBron was the best football player the NBA ever saw.) Bully ball is good once in a while, but I want to see basketball plays.
If we trade for Giannis, I will have to hold my nose watching even more than when Vuc was on the court.
If this is confusing or incoherent, I really don't like Giannis. :-)

Jaylen played in as many playoff games in 2023, while hurt, than Giannis has played total since 2021.  And he has missed exactly zero of his teams playoff games in that time.  Heck, even in the Bucks title year Giannis missed two postseason games.  It is not even close who has been more available over the last 5 springs.

When the Bucks added Lillard, the idea was a high-quality pick-and-roll game involving Giannis and Lillard, except Giannis didn't seem to want to screen and both guys were also demanding the ball often. In theory Tatum-Giannis sounds great but will it work smoothly? There's a lot of cautionary tales to consider in the recent past (Nets "Big 3", Suns, Bucks, etc.)

I saw post saying they were fed up of the Jaylen & Tatum "his turn, my turn" offense. That trading Jaylen for Giannis would stop this. It won't. It will be the same dynamic.

Giannis and Tatum want the ball in the same positions. Want to do many of the same things. Primarily ball-handlers, slashers, passers. Tatum more 3s. Giannis more rim attacks.

If you are Orlando, would you trade Banchero for Giannis?

G: Suggs
G: D Bane
F: F Wagner
F: Giannis, T Da Silva
C: Wendell Carter, Mo Wagner, Bitadze

The Magic roster actually suits Giannis very well. F Wagner as his #2. Bane as his #3. A stretch five in W Carter. They would need to change up their bench perimeter players to get more shooting but that would be a nice team.

Bane and Giannis feels like a match made in heaven.

That starting 5 can?t shoot, though. JB would be a better fit in Orlando. Send Banchero to Boston.
