After game one, in which the Celtics won by, like, 30 points, David Thorpe wrote for TrueHoop.com, he said, "Hey, I've been talking to agents and players and coaches and execs around the league, and if I've learned anything, it's that Jamal Mosley is gonna be fired after this series, and two, Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown are done
."

He said, you know, Joe Mazzulla said multiple times this postseason, you know, "We got good quality shots, we just missed them."

Brad Stevens said, "I don't think we got quality shots."

Tell joe no more of this forced garbage three game and go trade for giannis.

Well, if David Thorpe says it it must be true.

It doesn't make much sense to me that a reliable source would know this for certain first of all and second of all share it with David Thorpe.  But... that's fine with me if it's true.  In fact, if there is real friction there, I'm all for them being done here.  I'm hopeful that they want to continue to be Celtics together, but if not, that's fine.

  • Sometimes there's no sane reason for optimism
After game 1 is kind-of weird. Things could have been happier in Celtics land at that point. And why is this being shared now?

Guess it's just a wait and see approach now. And we have a lot of waiting to do since we were knocked out so early in these playoffs

This is one of those things David Thrope could not possibly know, because they only people who do know would be Jaylen/Celtics Org and they probably don't even know what the future will be as of right now. And IF THEY DID KNOW they wouldn't be telling David Thorpe.

This is the same report we see every offseason, I can summarize it as follows:

"An unknown number of people without inside knowledge but connected to the NBA are speculating...."

And look, it's not worth nothing but take stuff like with a massive grain of salt.

im hoping brad's quote is true and he chewed joe out up one side and down the other.
