I didn't mind the Twitch streams during the season when he did like one a week in today's culture. But him doing it the day after a Game 7 loss, and then sounding like a whiner during it. Jaylen's getting grilled hard by the media after the 3-1 blown lead AND his comments from the stream and frankly he bought it on himself. Maybe the refs do have an agenda against him but it does seem like he's also becoming someone who thinks of himself as bigger and it might rub some other players, media members, etc. in the wrong way.

Jambr380 isn't wrong. They've done it before, but you wonder if Jaylen will be fine just settling back as the #2 behind Tatum. Also, if he's gonna be focusing more on his streams and constantly complaining during a season, then I fear it can become like it did with Kyrie/Rozier late in 2019. I hope not, but the fear will exist.

I'm not "dumping" Jaylen unless it's for Giannis or someone elite, though even then I'd have to think about it. But I kinda hope Stevens and others can maybe step in and tell Jaylen to cool it with the social media posts and interviews. I'm sure some of this gets into his head as well.

Does this sound like someone willing to take a backseat going forward?

"I've sacrificed over the years for us to be a championship-caliber team. Now we're seeing what I was sacrificing. Being at the helm, and us being 2nd in the east, versus last year we finished 2nd in the east. It's almost been no drop off with five players that are essentially gone."

I think I?ve always had a great mentality and approach to the game, Brown said. I?ve always put the team first. Whatever the coaching staff has asked me to do, I?ve done. Now I?ve been asked to do more because a lot of guys were traded. We?ve been forced to be put in this position, and I?m grateful because I?ve been able to show the world who I am and who I?ve been.

I believe I?m the best two way player in the world.

Given how he has a 10 season track record of being a team player, sacrificing, and being a good teammate, I'd say yes.

There is some serious projection going on in this and a few other threads right now.

Same handful of posters looking for a reason to ship out JB.  always that core bunch that cannot stand the fact he was the by far our best player this season and want him gone regardless of how much they have to reach for a reason.  this streaming nonsense is just this season's excuse to trade him for pennies on the dollar.

Sure, but that?s in the past. He?s the one who has been saying these things all season long. So what are we supposed to think. Doesn?t sound like someone willing to be a secondary star. Here?s another one:

"At times, I think I would make myself small, for other people to feel comfortable," Brown said. "I feel like leadership is about leading to a common goal. So the goal, so however we get there, you know, if I can play my role, then I don't mind. There's nothing wrong with that. But there's a difference between that and making yourself small and dimming your light."

"Your light is meant to shine. So let it shine,'"

"And I've made a promise to myself to do that. I've got in my own head about millions of things for no reason. But I'm not going to do that anymore. I'm not going to make myself small ever again."

You can keep your head in the sand as long as you want. When he makes the comments he makes you can?t ignore it. He?s hinted at it in the past in articles and little breadcrumbs. Like I said u ignore it and that?s fine. And there is no way im trading him for pennies o don?t think anyone means that. You doing the same projecting you  spoke of. If I have a good deal I?m trading him. He can go have fun on another team.

I do worry about JB's mentality in being 'demoted' back to #2 next year. It's clear in his mind that he thinks he is deserving to lead a team. And he might not be totally wrong, but he would need a clear structure around him to let him do what he does best.

That pretty much is Boston if we can solidify our Center rotation, but there's a dude who does what he does better coming back full strength next year. I know he doesn't have any personal beef with Tatum and they get along fine, but you can tell by his comments that he was happy to finally be able to spread his wings this year without limitations.

Guys in his position and age range usually get sick of losing and are ready sacrifice for the sake of the team. Jaylen's kind-of had an opposite career to that. He never got to be 'that' guy as a young player and they've been competing his whole career. Maybe he feels like he has his championship and FMVP and is ready for a new challenge.

Very few guys get to be the clear number 1 guy on a team.  Jaylen proved this year that he could be that - though I think most objective observers might conclude that a team with JB as it's clear #1 isn't winning a championship.

Hate to say goodbye to either Jay.  But although I don't buy that they aren't good together, there probably are pairings that would be better.

I may not be a fan of what JB said but I think it?s ridiculous for the NBA to fine him.

More and more smoke about JB being unhappy in Boston/2nd fiddle to the clearly superior JT, and he?s not exactly denying it with how he?s talking. And this is coming from TMac a Broeb apologist.

I do think a divorce may be coming, and I?m fine with it. I?m not sure JB can ever go back to the way things were before.

You hear that Brad? JB is unhappy. He's been hanging out with Kyrie too much. Move him now while you still can. JT and JB cannot coexist on this team.
