Embiid is probably coming back Game 4, but I also think White and the C's have absolutely not played well the last few games and I can't imagine it'll continue. They feel due. They still have flaws but they can overcome it with smarter basketball (fewer turnovers) and if White wakes up.

I do think a win like tonight can jumpstart things. Vucevic, Baylor and others definitely got experience (good and bad) in the clutch moments and that'll only help long term this spring.

To be honest, I hope so.

I don't think Embiid coming back is the big win for Philly that some think it might be.  Embiid is a horrible perimeter defender and a complete bonehead when it comes to BBIQ.  Yes he's very talented, but he also makes some horrible decisions ofensively, especially in clutch moments.  And his conditioning at it's best is not great, coming back from an injury like this he'll probably be gassed after 15 minutes.

I think this is the White we are going to get. He's been overall sloppy this season. I'd give him a D+/C-.

Maybe this win will quiet down all the complainers on this site....just enjoy the win.
Do you want the game threads to be even less?! LOL

Actually, I did enjoy reading the 100 page thread back then, even with all the negativity. I feel like we're on the same boat. We're all a diehard Celtics lovers with different personalities, afterall. Go Cs!

He won't be 2023 and 2024 White, but if he's truly this bad all series and beyond that's insane. At that point I'd wonder if he actually is concussed right now. It's one thing to be mediocre/average but White has been horrific especially the last two games.

Congrats to Tatum hitting 3000 career playoff points.

Brown breaks that barrier later this playoff season if the Celtics have a long playoff run.

Crazy to think both will be top 5 all-time Celtic scorers in the playoffs....BEFORE THEY ARE 30!!

We truly are blessed to have them in green.

Turnovers are what hurt us this game...17 from the team that led the league with the fewest during the season.  Next game will be better.

I still think it was a bad shot, BUT watching the highlights man that was an absolute killer 3 from Tatum. A literal dagger that swished in. Even if you peek the Philly fans, some of them were already shaking their heads or holding their heads as the shot was in the air. Probably reminded them a bit of when JT went off in the 4th quarter of a Game 6 three years ago that PHI was up 3-2

I have no idea what Vucevic has on Mazzulla to have him playing so many minutes, but some big shots by our guys down the stretch after things were looking dicey for a while

I have no idea what a few of these guys have on Mazzulla.
Going with the guy who is playing well and shooting well doesn't mean it's a permanent decision Joe.
Go with the hot hand.

He puts Scheierman in on Philly's last key possession for defense but won't play him more minutes while White struggles through a slump ?
Joe's stubbornness may be his worst trait.

Agreed, I also think it was a bad hero shot. But, he hit it and be the hero. 🙂

Joe likes Vuc enough to give him 30 minutes to Qs 12.  Early foul trouble was a factor but ultimately Joe felt better with Vuc.  I still feel he's getting used to playing with the Cs so I agree to experience on the court is big.  Baylor shows no signs yet of being intimidated by the moment.  And I'd have to say the same for Jordan so far.  Nice also to see Sam hit his open threes.  Has to happen.  JB and JT both shot well and the team was a spectacular 16-17 from the line.

So relieved to get the win tonight.
