I definitely didn't expect a game one to be that easy. And, as an added bonus, the national broadcasters didn't suck.

I still hate Scott Foster, though.
agree on all of this.  Bilas was decent as the color guy.  not a lot of insights but far less fawning over the C's opponents than Doris and Reggie.

if the national guys are bad enough i will go watch nbcsports boston on streaming and listen to our crew instead.

Someday maybe I?ll understand exactly what gets broadcast and how to find what?s available. Actually, I?m sure I won?t.

how/why are they broadcasting when all games have been taken away from them during the playoffs?

my mind is still stuck on regular season mode where i had options. so we are stuck with national only?
guess id have to listen to radio then 98.5 sportshub with cedric maxwell then instead.

Missed the game live, just finished watching my recording.  Great win to start our trip to #19.  I thought the Js looked good, not too many turnovers.  Sam looked good with 7 rebounds and 4/6 from 3.  Ready for the next game...

Yep.  In years past you could watch the first round on NBCS Boston, but not this year.

Props to Sam Hauser. He had a very good game. 12pts/7rebs/2ast/1stl on 4-6 shooting. Defense was solid all game. Glad the Cs didn?t trade him like many propose on a regular basis.

who wanted to trade him? definitely NOT me. i always liked him

Pretty much all of the trade proposals made on this site lol.

Personally I wanted to trade him because I thought there was still a path to keep most of our team together and that Hauser's salary and offsetting it last year would have saved a lot in luxury tax. But as we saw, they just let everyone go basically anyways (Horford, KP, Kornet, Jrue). Plus I figured Baylor was gonna be his replacement, but now we have both of them and while Hauser had a great game today, I do think Baylor is already at his level or maybe even a little better, which is not a bad thing! Hauser as a 3-point specialist and Baylor being a more polished all-around guy including defense is a good recipe :)

Sam is a better defender and a better shooter. There?s a reason Baylor played half the amount of minutes that Sam did. Also a reason why Walsh was the first player off the bench.

I like them both and on any given night either one can make a bigger contribution. Sam starts and gets more minutes which tells us who Joe thinks has the better chance to have an impact. But obviously Baylor made big strides this year and had a good stretch starting before JT returned.  Hasn?t surpassed Sam but I think it?s pretty close. Walsh was first in in G1 but Baylor had slightly more PT. I?m glad Joe has both Jordan and Baylor to throw out there with some confidence.

I can?t understand Vuc. Has he regressed or was Chicago just force feeding him in the post? He?s supposed to be a good fit with how Boston plays but so far he?s struggled. Perhaps he hasn?t settled in with his role yet.

Think he has not settled in yet and the injury set him back.

Yeah, people forget that it took D-White about a year to settle in. Things take time.

I agree about Vooch that he still looks uncomfortable out there. I know he was very good with Chicago but he's not agressive here and doesn't look confident. He seems a littl e better lately but I still have more confidence in Garza in gettingrebounds and giving 100% effort and he is confident in taking 3s.

I know because of the injury timing and when JT came back that he had no time to work on timing with JT which hurts.  I am happy though to see that Mazulla wasn't afraid to play Garza early and it paid off.
