I look at it that the expectation was hitting/run scoring would be below league average but the starting pitching would contend for best in the league and that the bullpen would be above average.

So far, the hitting/run scoring is below average (OPS 11th of 15 in AL) but the starting pitching has been horrible and the bullpen has been mostly good, but lost couple of games.

The hitting will get a little better, I believe, but the starting pitching needs to get a lot better or this team is going nowhere.  Maybe a nice home stand will help the team snap out of this funk.

There is a 3 way tie for second place in the least amount of runs scored category: SD, Cincy, and Boston.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

Don't worry, the Padres offense will break out of their funk against the Red Sox  :P

Up 2-2 in the 5th. Better game from Gray.

Nice to see Durbin get his first hit (and an RBI) and the offense looking better.

Hopefully they can close it out in the 9th

Or not. :P

Both starting pitchers were serving up meatballs yesterday.  I shut it off after they went down 6-4, after being up 4-0.

I was glad to see on social media there were "sell the team" chants. Good. Let them hear it. Even though I know it's not realistic, make your frustrations known and keep booing these clowns in the front office and ownership for this joke philosophy and joke of a roster (outside of a few blue chip talents but that's it - the offense in particular is very mediocre/inconsistent)
