Should Jordan Walsh be playing more?

In a few games this year a hot scorer kept hitting at will. Yet, we kept the same rotation players on the court.

I sometimes wonder if it might be a good idea to put a player like Jordan on the court because it's much tougher to shoot over him than many of the rotational players. Any thoughts?

I think as we are nearing the postseason and trying to reintegrate Tatum and maybe eventually Vucevic, it is important to stick with something like the playoff rotation at this time.  Mazzulla is going with a 9-man rotation (not surprising, that is what he has done every year and is not uncommon in the NBA), and Scheierman and Gonzalez beat out Walsh for minutes.  Walsh will need to stay ready, because he will get his chance in some series I expect, but I think the 9 players Joe is going with are the correct ones.

i think it depends on the situation and player he'd be defending.   Bigs and tiny guards, probably not.  wings, if the regular rotation players aren't getting it done then playing him may be worth a shot.

Walsh did give Cade a very tough time when he defended him....Cade had to cry to the refs for help actually....and of course he got the BS calls.

This is essentially what I was going to say.  I understand the suggestion to try something different, but Joe has been experimenting all season and he's decided that Scheierman is his best option, followed by Hugo.

I root for Walsh, but I can't definitively say that Joe is wrong.  BS has really upped his defensive game.  If he's getting beaten, Joe has plenty of other defenders (JB, Tatum, White) to put onto somebody before Walsh.

Walsh could be like Oshae Brissett in 2024 who just fills in for spot minutes in a series due to foul trouble or injuries, just as a hustle/defense guy. But yeah they have a set 9-man rotation I think once Vucevic comes back.

In a word, no.  I don't see it.  He came close to breaking through this season, but he could not sustain it.  Others are playing better, more consistently.
