I've been around for a while - 2012 according to my profile - but probably since 2011. I'm also grateful for this forum and the longtime members here. Tons of knowledgeable and intelligent people within this community. My post count is artificially inflated from game threads, but I'd like to think I contributed some too. Tracking Brooklyn's record after we got their picks from the KG & Pierce trade was a lot of fun.
I still remember one poster's doomsday prediction from the 76ers' "process". That the masterplan of Hinkie and co. and their dedication to tanking for multiple high draft picks would result in a hopeless scenario for the Celtics and the rest of the Eastern Conference, because the 76ers would become an unstoppable powerhouse. The sky was falling because Embiid, Okafor, and Simmons were set to dominate the next decade. I remember pushing back on that narrative because I thought it was comical, and that Hinkie was doing the easy work. Easy to trade players away, tear things down to tank. Much harder to build a contending team with the right players, talent, and culture.
And so many others entertaining threads. Fun stuff.
