Brad said he's at least bringing in a ball handler for the end of bench. A break glass in case of emergency type of guy. They'll understand their roll is to wave a towel when rotation is fully healthy.

Who are our candidates? Conely is expected to re-sign with Minnesota.
ok fine

I was surprised by that, because I think he hinted pretty clearly that we're promoting from within.

Same that's why I asked here. It seems like he's promoting from within but he also clearly said he's going to bring in a ball handler.
ok fine

Specifically what he said was:

Quote
Stevens said the Celtics ?feel really good? about two-way-contract players Tonje, Ron Harper Jr., and Max Shulga. Harper thrived in a starting role in the upset win over the Rockets on Wednesday, and Stevens seemed to hint that these players will have opportunities to earn promotions.

?With that said, I think the biggest thing is seeing how this all looks,? Stevens said. ?We?ll ultimately fill a roster spot with at least one more ballhandler and then see how the rest of the needs play themselves out.?

It?s easy to assume he?s bringing in a ball handler from outside, but what he said was, he would fill a roster spot with at least one more ball handler. That roster spot can easily be filled with one of the two ways, either Harper or Shula would probable have the inside running over Tonje. Two way players don?t technically count as roster spots in the 15 man roster of which we need a minimum of 14.

Of course, those dreaming of a Name like Lonzo Ball might also get their wish  :police:

In any case, whoever it is is going to be insurance at the very end of the bench, and I doubt they will move the needle at all.

Any odd typos are because I suck at typing on an iPhone :D

It looks like Shulga is more of a PG than I realized.  I think he is who Brad is referring to, then.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.
