Vucevic sure looks like a very easy guy to fit into the mix.

Man, I?d really love to be able to see what Tatum brings into the mix with this team.

Thinking the same. Add JT to this team. Anything?s possible.

In this East it absolutely is. DET and NY are beatable in a playoff series especially if Tatum returns. Not saying they'd definitely win but they absolutely have a fighter's chance.

This season has been enjoyable so far. Even when we lost I saw lots of individual improvements, especially the young players. They really grow into a more complete players who play within their roles.

Well, we play in New York next so that should be a good yardstick for us :police:

I think we need one more offensive threat in the starting lineup.  That was probably the idea behind starting Garza but he's better suited going against bench talent rather than starters.  As it is, JB and White are overburdened trying to play 2-on-5 against credible defensive teams.

Obviously Tatum would solve the problem, but until/unless we get him back we may need to get creative.  I hesitate to jerk Pritchard around too much (especially given how well he's playing right now) but perhaps we could move him back to the starting lineup and give Harper a trial-by-fire off the bench for a few games.

A fighter's chance ? C'mon Phantom, add a healthy Tatum to this team and I'd say we become the East favorites.

Yes, the Celts came back with a furious 3d quarter, but allowing the team to keep jacking 3's in the middle of a 1-21 first half is ridiculous.

Were there many boo-birds heard from the home crowd during that dismal 1st half ?

but, after that 1/21 stretch they went 9/15 (60%).  I know you don't like Joe's approach to the game with all the 3s but the Cs have the 2nd best offensive rating in the league right behind Denver.  Live and let live and try to enjoy.  Go Celtics!

It really was a tale of two halves, for both teams, wasn't it. Fascinating.

First Half:

Code: [Select]
Celtics FG/FGA % 3FG/3FGA %
Hauser 0-5 0% 0-5 0%
Jaylen 6-15 40% 0-3 0%
White 2-11 18% 0-6 0%
PP 1-6 16% 0-2 0%
Vuc 1-3 33% 0-0 -
Team 14-47 30% 1-20 5%

Heat FG/FGA % 3FG/3FGA %
Wiggins 7-10 70% 3-4 75%
Bam 5-10 50% 2-5 40%
Powell 5-8 63% 2-4 50%
Jaquez 3-6 50% 0-1 0%
Ware 1-5 20% 0-2 0%

Team 21-46 48% 7-19 37%

Second Half:

Code: [Select]
Celtics FG/FGA % 3FG/3FGA %
Hauser 1-2 50% 0-1 0%
Jaylen 5-10 50% 1-4 25%
White 4-9 44% 4-6 67%
PP 7-9 78% 4-4 100%
Vuc 3-5 60% 0-0 -
Team 21-37 57% 9-16 56%

Heat FG/FGA % 3FG/3FGA %

Wiggins 3-6 50% 2-3 67%
Bam 0-3 0% 0-1 0%
Powell 4-7 57% 1-3 33%
Jaquez 1-3 33% 1-2 50%
Jovic 0-5 0% 0-4 0%
Team 13-38 34% 6-21 29%

Not quite mirror images but definitely inverted...first half we shot 48% overall, 5% from 3, while they shot 48% overall and 37% from 3. Then in the 2nd half we shot 57% overall and 56% from 3 while they shot 34% overall and 29% from 3.

A tale of two halves for sure.  What?s always interesting in games like that is what happens when the game gets close again and there?s still a chunk of time left on the clock.  Most times team that made the comeback just blows right past, but last night they both settled into a well contested ending.

Sidebar question:

Tell me what you?re using for your custom stats sheet?  MS-DOS?  It looks very old school, yet functional.  I used to do the high school team stats in the 80?s on a DOS program we developed in computer programming class.  I got so invested in the program that I lost track of what I was supposed to be doing in class and got an F.
