Vooch is a cone on defense
Feel like that's more of a liability then the criticisms on Simons
I don't think he was much worse than anyone else, and I think the stats post game should bear that out. It's more the fact that introducing a new player messes up their communication and rotations and introduces hesitancy. I don't think he's worse than Garza and they've managed to run a defensive scheme when Garza is on court that has tried to cover up for his deficiencies.
His first stint in Q1 he came in and the score was 11-2, he checked out it was 27-12, so the Heat increased their lead by 6 while he was in.
His next stint in Q2 he checked in at 35-20, and he checked out it was 50-33, so the lead increased by 2 while he was in that second stint.
Where we are missing Simons is he could create shots when others were struggling, and right now outside of JB who is 6-15 (40%) we have White 2-11 (18%), PP 1-6 (16%), Hauser 0-5 (0%) and then we have Vuc at 1-3 (33%). We can't buy a bucket offensively and they aren't moving the ball enough, they are devolving into too much iso and settling for bad 3s. We don't have anyone who can create their own shot if all four of our shotmakers are struggling.
