One SF in J-Dub. Then 4 bigs in Chet, Hartenstein, Kendrich Williams, Jaylin Williams. Only 5 frontcourt players. Dort can double up as a SF. Strange roster ... but it works.

The Los Angeles Clippers, Brooklyn Nets and Toronto Raptors have agreed on a multi-team trade sending Chris Paul to the Raptors and Ochai Agbaji, a 2032 Raptors second-rounder and cash to the Nets, sources tell ESPN.

The Hornets acquired Ousmane Dieng and a second-rounder from the Oklahoma City Thunder for Mason Plumlee, sources said. Dieng was then re-routed to Chicago amid multiple transactions.

Thunder create a $6.7 million trade exception for Ousmane Dieng by swapping him for Mason Plumlee. Then after waiving Plumlee, they can absorb Jared McCain into the newly created Dieng trade exception (expires in one year), or their unused mid-level exception.

The Raptors will not require Chris Paul to report to the team and could still discuss trades involving him over the next day. Toronto is now out of the tax. Brooklyn picks up an asset and cash to cover Agbaji's salary. The Clippers clear a roster spot and save $7 million in tax.

Four years ago, the Bulls were in first place in the East. AK traded away the entire top 6 from that roster, all of them too late.

The only first round pick he received was the team's own in 2025, in exchange for DeRozan, LaVine, Ball, Vooch, Caruso, and Coby White.

that's a lot of small players for Chicago.  a lot of name recognition going out the door but looking at what they accomplished in terms of playoffs and titles, it's not very much.  Can't blame Chicago for moving on from them but you'd think they could have gotten more in return.

Ha!  Cleveland chose Lonzo Ball at 2 years / $20MM over keeping Ty Jerome (yes, I know he's been injured but he was healthy when all this happened) at 3 years / $28MM.

Jerome gave them more drives to the basket, floaters, and three-point shooting that they never got in Ball and others.

I really think he was part of the secret sauce to their success last year (despite the collapse against the Pacers last year, who actually beat everyone on their way to the finals).

And now Lonzo is gone too.

As for the Celtics, I'm dreaming but if we could expand the trade to pluck one of their (Chicago) guards like Ayo Dosunmu I'd be over the moon
