You're reading too much into it. You sound like our President, telling a CNN reporter she never smiles  He's Montenegrin, they don't smile much 

But he did on this occasion:

Love it.  Just a solid vet.  It?s always interesting watching familiar guys with a different lens as a home fan.  He was definitely doing a lot more on offense than I ever gave him credit for as an opponent.  He seems like an excellent fit.  I think we?re going to see some really fun offense when this team is clicking.

Yeah.  I think he's a difference maker on offense.  Joe has got to be thrilled to have a legit weapon at center again.

Defensively he won't remind anybody of Timelord, but he made an improvement between halves.  He's a smart player.

Couldn't watch the game live yesterday.  Just finished watching the replay.  It's easy to forget how good Vuc is offensively - more specifically his passing ability and how good his hands are.  He sees passing lanes before he catches the ball on the block.  He finished the game with 4 assists, but he made so many great passes that are not reflected in the box score.

He's a great fit offensively.  I think he's going to make the game easier for the Jays, which is exactly what you want out of the big we've been hunting after we lost Horford and Porzingis.  It would not surprise me if he eventually becomes the starter.
