Can't believe I'm saying this, but I kinda hate seeing Simons go. The guy was a great offensive punch off the bench and seemed to be putting effort into his defense, as well as buying in to the Celtics team.

I'm very happy to get a center ............ very happy.
Problem is the guy is 35 years old. How much of a factor is going to be over the next 5 years, which I see as the title window for this Tatum/Brown era.

I think he's meant to be a stopgap, then a supporting role. The time for us to spend money will be in 2027-28 onwards, hopefully after we have reset the luxury tax this season and next.

The best thing to say about Simons is he was a professional. He did what they wanted him to do without complaint, moved to the bench, was a positive plus minus over his tenure here and was a contributor to helping us win games. Not many players can say they made a positive impact on the team and fans in such a short time but he did.
Any odd typos are because I suck at typing on an iPhone :D

Just thinking about old Vucevic is ....

Vuce played on that 76ers team with Elton Brand, Iggy, Jrue Holiday, Evan Turner. Remember that 7 game ECSF series against Philly? That 2012 run to the Finals with KG, Pierce, Ray, Brandon Bass and Rondo. Vuce was on that 76ers team. The final playoff run / playoff series win of the Big Three era.

Now it has all come circle. From rookie 76ers player against the Big Three to elderstatesman on this Celtics team. That was Vuce's rookie year. Now in his 15th season.

Oh man, I don't recall him from there. I always thought he was a Magic rookie.
