Not in a million years.  I wouldn't trade our high 2nd round pick either.  The only way I'd bring back Al was if the C's were trading X and or Boucher.  He thought the C's were going to be bad so he bolted.  With butler going down I hope the Warriors miss the playoffs while the C's win it all.  Then Horford can eat a big back of woulda, shoulda, coulda.  They really could have used hi this year as that vet presence with JB and that 3rd big we need.

Tillman and a top 40 protected second

Another thought would be Tillman, Boucher and the 26 1st for Al and the warriors 2 future 2nds. Then sign a vet FA big to the bottom of the bench.

Tillman and one of the extra swingmen is as far as I would go.

Or if it was part of a bigger trade where Simons is sent out and Horford comes back with another useful player.

I?d pick up Al as a FA if he got traded to another team and waived. I would not trade anything for him, though. I?ll get over it, but I thought it was lame of him to leave again in the first place.

Whether it was over the [potential] extra $2M or the possibility to win more games than the Celtics, I feel like ditching us at our low point a 2nd time just didn?t feel right. Paying him the extra money and having to trade draft capital to do it is a step too far

Brad did an awesome job bringing back Horford in 2021 and he clearly had more to offer in the upcoming years, which ultimately helped big time in 2024.

But honestly, he's 39 years old now and I thought he lost a step last year and looked slower (as did Jrue). Idk if it's also injury, but Horford may be mostly done now. Sure, he can be a role player but even then I don't think he can be a team's 6th or 7th man anymore.

And yeah, him leaving a second time on his own accord, I think it's over. Still love Big Al though.
