Base on rumors feel one deal that makes sense is White, Hauser a first and future 1st swap rights for JJJ. The line up then ends up

PP, Walsh, JB, JT, JJJ
Simons, Hugo, Minott, Garza, Queta.

White replaces Morant if he gets moved to Heat or another team. And if Bam is the guy moved for Morant moving JJJ makes sense as well. This is feels right on to me.

Not giving up White. The point would be to add JJJ to the Jays and DWhite core - thats what it would take to compete with the likes of OKC, Denver, San Antonio.

If memphis wants picks and salary relief then it would be a 3 team deal.  The's C's need to reset the repeater tax to give them a new 3yr window with JB, JT and JJJ.  I also think Hugo and our 1st would have to go out as well with Hauser and White.  For me it's to steep a price to pay.

It's an intriguing option.  IMO, White isn't significantly better than Simons, so If you can resign Simons to a deal similar to White, you're getting a similar player who is five years younger.

Is the idea to go big and start JJJ alongside Queta? Move Tatum back to SF and Jaylen back to guard?

That would be a huge lineup.

Not sure JJJ is such a great fit as a starting center. He hasn't played as well there as you would like in the past. He feels best used as a part time PF part time C. Start at PF alongside a legit C and give him time as a C in the 2nd unit / closing lineups. JJJ's lack of rebounding hurts him at C. Makes it hard to play him there full time.

I don't see why Memphis would want 31yo Derrick White after they have traded away Bane, Morant and JJJ. They will be rebuilding mode.

If you can move D White elsewhere for 2-3 first round picks to sweeten the pot for JJJ, that could make it an attractive offer for Memphis. You have 3-4 first round picks then plus a pick swap. Getting close to those Bane / Mikal Bridges type packages.

Where are these rumors even coming from?  The ones I see all trace back to a Denver Nuggets media member who was playing armchair GM?  In other words, rumor seems like a very strong word.

This has possibilities but not sure White and Hauser are what MEM is looking for.  More likely, White goes to a 3rd team and younger players and more picks to MEM.

You are right about flipping White it's more about being in a position to also want to keep White. That gives more trade leverage. Grizz wouldn't be forced to flip White and thus should get a very good return if they want to trade him right away.

agreed.  the point would be to add JJJ to the Jays and White, not swap one out.

if this were to happen, the big lineup would be the smart move to keep JJJ at PF where he'd be a plus and his lack of rebounding less of an issue with Q and Tatum on the floor.  he doesn't rebound well for his size

Just in general I'd be careful trading White unless it's an obvious upgrade.  I think he and Tatum are pretty close and seems to be a guy that others in the locker room like.

Completely agree.

Nothing leaks from the Celtics front office.

Can we do better than JJJ and try to get Giannis?  ;D He seems unhappy in Milwaukee, esp after the home crowd boos. He should be asking for a trade very soon

he very well might ask for that trade but it won't be to the C's.  C's don't have the draft capital nor youthful prospects that would interest Milwaukee.  I don't think a swap using Jaylen would be worth it since we'd probably have to add a few more assets (as highly as I think of JB to boot) and I don't think they'd take Tatum without seeing how he recovers and they'd still probably want a couple of assets in addition to Tatum since he's coming off injury.

That's not even getting into his stated desire to go to NY if he is indeed traded.

I just don't see a path for him joining the C's that doesn't decimate the current roster and leave the C's in the same position the Bucks are currently in which is with limited options to fill in talent around Giannis
