You do that trade without a 2nd thought.
that's so you but thankfully it's not Brad
yes significantly upgrading talent at the expense of mostly worthless assets just sounds like a terrible idea.

It?s a talent upgrade if you ignore availability, which I think has been the main point of those who oppose this trade idea.   Not a good idea to not take games played over the last four years into account.
exactly --  and let's not forget his propensity to knock our players' availability or lack of it when people talk them up here.  funny how when that player is on another team it doesn't matter

Even with the lack of availability he is a top 50 player in the sport (at least that is where Ringer has him as of less than a week ago).  Having crappy players available doesn't get you wins.  You upgrade the talent and don't give it a 2nd thought.  If that trade was available to Boston it would have been made already.  Simons is going to be traded at some point.  Hauser and Walsh are fine 8th man type players.  And with how well Boston has played even if you traded this years pick, it doesn't look like it will be a lottery pick.  Boston has to upgrade its talent or it won't win again.  Ball is a major talent upgrade and that trade is giving up mostly crap.  You take the risk on the health because the upside is massive.
