Wish he had done this a month ago so he could have gotten a much deserved standing ovation at the Garden like Dirk did.

One of my five favorite players of all time - stinks he has to go out sad on an awful Clippers team.

What a helluva career. Unfortunately, one accolade that's missing is an NBA championship, his closest he ever sniffed was when the Suns were in the Finals holding onto a 2-0 series lead.

i think ainge tried to move up in the draft to take paul. he offered pierce if my memory is correct.

Certainly has an argument for being one of the best point guards of all time, and certainly in the conversation for the best modern player to never win a ring (unless the Clippers somehow make it happen, but that's very far into the possible-not-probable.

I am glad Danny Ainge never traded for him, just for BBallTim's sake.

Such a smooth player.  Definitely held back on his scoring a lot to facilitate, but could step it up when needed.

I wonder if any player in NBA history has played with more current or future Hall of Famers.  He definitely teamed up with a lot of great players over the years.

He is behind Magic, Oscar, and Stockton in the all time PG hierarchy but I think you could argue him as high as 4.  I have Thomas 4 and Kidd 5 with Paul 6, but I think you could argue those spots and not sound like a crazy person.

I never know where to put him positionallly.  If he is a PG he'd be 2nd behind Magic. I suppose the same is also true of Oscar positonally

Never liked CP3.  One of the dirtiest players in the history of league and had the talent where he really didn't need to be.

He's done regardless. He's not impacting anything and even recently, there was a "highlight" of him knocking down a 3 while the team is down 30+ already, resurfacing some of the "CP3 hits a huge 3 to cut the lead to 42" memes from years ago. That's all he's good for at this point
