Wow, that is a massive blow for Beal.

For LAC too. They traded Norm Powell. Beal was the replacement. They brought in John Collins. He has not fit well with Zubac. So now i is a pure loss of Norm Powell who was probably their 4th best player after Harden, Kawhi, Zubac.

Norm Powell playing great for Miami too. Fantastic addition.

Gonna jump in and wonder... does LAC potentially decide to just rebuild and trade Zubac either this deadline or next offseason? If so Boston should absolutely consider it.

Lowe was throwing out there the Clips trading for AD.

Usually use this harbinger for old people, but a broken hip is seldom a good sign for longevity.  In his case, that may well be the end of the road for his career.

Hmm didn't Isaiah Thomas also had a hip injury? No wonder he's no longer playing, or at least playing in the big leagues.

all that comes to mind is the number of people here who were screaming to trade JB for Beal back a few years ago.

I was thinking that too - unusual for a young man.  I wonder if there is an underlying issue.  Or a really really bad blow to the hip.

There's been a lot of bad proposed JB trades over the years on here.  That's certainly up there.  The JB for Ibaka one from 2017ish still takes the cake for me.
