Just had a look at the Sixers Reddit. They?re all moaning about the refs? they must?ve not checked the box score to see that they had a massive free-throw disparity in their favor

They always think Embiid is treated unfairly by the refs  ::)

DW is probably my favorite player on the team so I say this out of love, but the dude has been cheeks to start the year.  He can't defend the ball, he can't throw it in the ocean, he's hurting us at both ends of the court.  We need more from him.

If this team is going to over-achieve without burning JB out by mid-December, it'll happen because DW plugs into the #2 role and holds it down.  Right now it's looking like way too much for him.  He's one of the best role players in the league but being a featured guy is a different beast.

D White is doing very little to stop A Simons' overdribbling as well. He needs to step up more as a lead guard when Pritchard sits.

Wondering if he will be traded and he knows it.

I would imagine this would really p--- JT off. Simons is the guy to be traded I think.

Agree entirely.

Is it not a universal reality that every teams fans think they are mistreated by the refs?

I legit think Philly would be better off trading Embiid for additional picks/players to go along with Edgecomb, Maxey, McCain. Get younger too.

Philly'd probably agree with you but he's visibly breaking down and under contract for an obscene amount of money for the next four years.  Nobody is giving up picks for that.  I think it would take a trove of picks from Philly's side to even get somebody to TAKE him.

Get Embiid healthy for 20-30 games playing 30mpg and he'll be tradeable again.

Someone will be desperate enough to take a chance.

Two things every NBA fan agrees upon: a) Doris Burke sucks and is biased against their team; and b) the refs suck and are biased against their team  :police:

The bench was great.

* Garza with 9pts 5reb in 15min
* Hugo filled the stat sheet. Everything but a block. 15min. 5pts 5reb. 3 of those 5reb were offensive rebounds. 2 steals. 2 assists. 2-5 FGA 1 three pointer.
* Hauser only 3pts on 1-6 FG but 6reb and 3ast.
* Tillman. Strong D plus 5pts 4reb in 13min.

Mazzula used the 3 centers well. Garza gave them good bench minutes against Philly's backup centers. Tillman good minutes against Embiid. 28min from thsoe two. 20min from Queta.

B might be true, but A is an absolute fact.
Burke tries too hard and is loud and obnoxious.

this team is not winning a banner this year, but they could be a lot more fun to watch than i had thought a few games ago.

That about sums it up perfectly. But while we enjoy a few games here and there, the main focus should be how to rebuild the roster for next season and beyond to give this group a serious shot at another title. Might involve a painful trade at some point.

watched tape delay of game.  tonight's hot takes:
- thankful for great shooting games from JB and PP to get us off to a good start and to keep the lead.
- bench was productive.  everyone chipped in for the win in one way or another
- Simons, White and Hauser couldn't hit the broad side of a barn tonight.  White is looking a lot more like the player he was when he first got here than he has the past 2 years.  need him to figure out how to fix this asap
- Hugo, Minott, Queta and Garza get the hustle awards tonight.
- JB with a lot of sloppy TOs.  needs to get that cleaned up real quick

This should have been a schedule loss.  The Celtics have their 5th game in 7 days tomorrow, while the Sixers last played on Tuesday and have tomorrow off as well, which let them play three starters at least 40 minutes.  Good win.
